Trigger Finger

No pain whatsoever in my case shysal and hopefully will last for a few years and puts off more radical surgery. I was warned that I would suffer some aching and throbbing in the finger for a few days after the injection but absolutely zilch so I realise I was lucky. My finger was painful to release and also affected my grip which was very awkward at times.

I have a trigger finger which is swollen, but not painful. When it locks I can still click it out. Doc. offered a little operation if it locks completely. She also suggested I give-up gardening and have a steroid injection. It's not so bad. Rather continue gardening . Useful to know of the medical options available though.

I have this complaint in the middle fingers of my right hand, but fortunately it comes and goes and doesn't limit me at all, nor is it painful. From what I have heard, steroid injections are painful, but the relief they can bring is wonderful. I am so pleased that you have found a 'cure'. Is it likely to be temporary or permanent?
