I developed a trapped nerve in the T3 region. I tried an osteopath it got worse. I went for an aromatherapy massage and that cured it!

10 years ago I developed some nasty pains in upper back and went to chiropractor ( a well run respected surgery). It seemed to be doing me good and she seemed very caring at the first interview listening to me (which is nice and a change from many Doctors). Any way long story short....hindsight has allowed me to understand that what I was really suffering from was a stressed induced range of symptoms that needed quite a different treatment i.e. relaxation, exercise and better posture at computer and less stress.
The treatment the chiropractor gave was of no real benefit and probably a waste of money. All I was doing was relaxing a bit because someone was letting me download a few worries and sort of taking care of me for a bit. A decent massage and just a good chin wag with a friend would have been more beneficial.
Osteopath - is quite different to chiropractor I have since found out.

I work for an osteopath (chiropractors tend to do backs- Osteopaths do whole body but not a set rule)
In 5 years I have never seen anyone NOT helped by treatment & if we feel we cannot help we do not treat or charge.
I have been treated for neck pain, shoulder pain & back pain & it has worked every time- lucky me- I nip in between patients so get it all free!
At times we refer back to GP for scans to be done etc but local GPs send a lot of people to us & some local GPs are our patients too.
Don't believe any practitioner who says you need 6 treatments or a certain course- they can't say exactly how any it will take & we do it in as few as possible because- let's face it- it IS expensive (£38 for 30 mins).

Our Cranial Osteopath treats small children & babies too- In Sweden ( or is it Switzerland) all new born babies see a cranial osteo before they leave hospital as it is not uncommon for something to be 'put out' in birthing process. It can help colic & unexplained crying.

I have seen far too many people come in crippled up & walk out straight not to be convinced it works.
Ask for a free consultation first to see what they offer you & check their credentials too. Unfortunately there are untrained people out there with fake credentials but if they have been there a number of years it is probably safe to use them
Give it a go- I swear by t ( & I would certainly ay for it if I had to & will when I retire)

I had trouble walking for 9 months a few years ago; x rays just said 'mild arthritis' but I couldn't put weight on my leg [ a scan done much later on looked a lot worse]. Eventually saw either a chiropractor or osteopath [not sure which] who was recommended to me and I was soon walking again. When I saw a consultant a few weeks later [that's how long it took on the NHS] he just poo poo'd the treatment I'd had.

I am interested in knowing more about the treatments provided by chiropractors and am asking for any experiences good or bad about these clinics. Did they help you Orr not?
