Hello everyone I am new to Gransnet too. I have never joined any chat site before and I will admit that I ask confused by the codes/ abbreviations that are used.
Can someone give me a translation please ? They are not all obvious !

I used to be a childminder when my children were young, and then a respite foster Mum to special needs children. I also have 6 grandchildren who are teenagers now.

Hi I'm new to the site. I'm not a granny -am an older mum so my daughter is 17 though I am 58! Used to frequent mumsnet but found it got too much for me. Would like a friendly chat sometimes as am socially isolated as my dd is very ill - totally bed bound and I care for her 24/7. My DH has dropped his hours to 3 days a week to help,out but he still has a very busy life with work and many social engagements ( I don't mind, one of us has to have a life!) . 2 dsc who are 23 and 20. Hoping to relocate soon to be nearer to eldest dsc and for better healthcare

Hi, am new to this site. It was mentioned in a magazine so thought, why not give it a try. Have 6 wonderful grandchildren, ranging from 19 down to 1. Three girls and three boys. I live in the same town as my daughters, but sometimes think it is not the best idea. Even though I am only 60, I find myself struggling with this generation, and my daughters generations way of communicating, it drives me mad. Even when visiting them, their phones or iPads are constantly beeping! We also have a lovely older doggie who is our baby lol. We are hoping to relocate to Spain for our retirement.

Hi everyone sorry ive not been back on here life has been bectic with one thing and another plus ive not been too well myself this last month with my L ear had already been to see the Dr who gave me antibiotic ear dros but they didnt touch it and went back this week after waiting to see if it would get better on its own but had to see the Nurse Practioner who said it was now very deep rooted and i should have got antibiotic tablets the last time ao got a weeks supply She also said what i said first tbat i was frightened it would turn into mastoiditis so if these dont work thenmay need bloods and scan Its very annoying! Went and had cuddles with the twins when they were a week old and tiny since then our daughter has bern down and is going down in a couple of weeks again Ive had daily photos etc as on top of this June is a busy month for us so we will see them again at beginning of July they are now 5 weeks and over 9lb each!
