Just heard from Grannylin to say that her granddaughter just pipped Declan to the post by arriving last night in Manchester. Her name is Emily and Grannylin will be hot-footing up to see her at the weekend. Unfortunately she couldn't share the news herself as the high winds have wiped out her broadband. and congratulations for new grannies.

Getting very, very excited! DiL goes down to theatre at 9 am tomorrow, my son will be with her, and has his mobile ready to phone and send a photo. How will I sleep tonight? Oh names....what a fraught area! Surely there is room for more than one Marmaduke Toadwinkle in the world? If you like a name - why shouldn't you stick with it?
