Did anyone see the article in Saturday's Daily Mail. Jilly Cooper's take on being a Grannie? She's basically saying, in the nicest possible way, that in many cases there is now an 'expectation' by our children that Grannie will be Nannie so Mummy and Daddy can pursue their careers. For some of us of course this is not a problem, and we are perfectly happy with the situation, but she makes the point that others may be taken for granted and that the words 'Granny' and 'Nanny' have become interchangeable. Do we think she has a point? Answers on a post card please!
