We take them out of pots and store until next year. We leave the foliage on until it dies back then store in a cardboard box layered with old newspaper. We do the same with tulips. Last year we didn’t put the tulips in the shed and the squirrels ate them! Not this year, all stored in the garage now. All bulbs in the ground are left there until the foliage dies back and we just trim off and they stay put until next spring.
