We saw 2 anyway, in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace today.
Anyone else?

Usually March so they’re early with all the mild weather in the South East, I saw lots in the park today.

I've got some miniature daffodils coming into flower. I always forget about them, but they pop up every year.

Are there any daffy in bloom already?
Seem quite early.

All our white camellias are flowering and a pink one has some very promising buds . We are SWWales, near the sea .

Blimey Azalea99 our camellias don't flower until April. We do have Winter flowering ones that were only planted two years ago so haven't seen any flowers yet.

Our Mahonia is flowering nicely, one flowers in December/January the other in May/June.

Saw another patch of daffs coming out. We never used to see our daffs till well into February.

This was on 22 December 2015 in Windsor.

Primroses in flower all over the garden. Beautiful perfume from the Mahonia and roses still trying to flower.

No daffs yet, but some of the roses are still producing blooms.

One of my camellias is blooming, but not the rest. No daffs yet but plenty of shoots.

That sounds wonderful Esmay! I planted a quince a few years ago with dreams of jelly but unfortunately it seems to be a low growing spreading variety.
As for unseasonal flowerings; hollyhocks were in flower against a sunny wall until a frost last week. I live 600ft up in the Scottish Borders.

We have a quince tree that didn’t fruit last year but fruited this year. Sadly some of the fruit was brown inside - which is common with quince I believe - and the rest were so tough to peel and prepare my poor hands which suffer from arthritis were in agony. I managed several bars of jam but will stick to easier fruits next time.

With a bit of planning you could have daffs in bloom from December through to May.

Romola Sat 20-Dec-25 08:38:05

When we moved over 20 years ago, there was nothing in the garden so I put in some daffs and was amazed when they came out before Christmas. I felt it was all wrong. They must be a particular early-flowering variant. But over the years I've come to like seeing their cheerful faces in the winter gloom.

A neighbour's forsythia is in full bloom

Snowdrops in my garden have been out for a few weeks. A lovely reminder that spring is on the way.

Those are mine.
Everything’s seems completely out of synch this year.

Gorgeous , but you worry when things are 'Too Early' don't you ? !

My white quince hedge is in full bloom .
I'd bought three dying specimens and didn't think that they'd survive ,but they've made a wonderful screen .

Visited NT Hughenden Manor last weekend and a whole bank of daffodils in bloom.

Aldom Sat 20-Dec-25 06:56:07

There are several varieties of daffodil which are January flowering daffodils.
I planted them in my garden years ago and also gave January flowering bulbs to two friends. It's not unusual for these bulbs to flower late December. I've also had snowdrops flowering on Christmas day years ago.
