Shrub help

Does anyone know what my shrub is please. Although I cut it down earlier this year it now stands at its highest about 6 feet tall. I think it has tiny pink flowers. It sends out suckers from the root which have gone mad this year which I want to do something about.

According to the app on my phone it is Common ninebark, from the rose family.

Thank you cornishpasty. I’ve looked it up and found a photo of it in flower and yes that’s what the flowers are like.

I've got a fab app on my phone it's called picture this it will tell you the name of the plant and how to look after it

I use Google Lens too. It’s really useful for plants but it even told me what type of granite was in the kitchen worktop! It’s free as well?
