LIMERICKS (April 2025 contd August 2026)

Perhaps you should try singing bass
That would wipe the smile off his face
They say silence is golden
And does embolden
All who are stuck in this place

Ah, we have peace at last
I bet you can't sing fast!

Ah, we have peace at last
Without sounds that leave us aghast

It will be Christmas before too long,
With memories of friends now long gone,

The remnants of summer fade fast
It seems to be autumn at last
Leaves are gold and brown
They all tumble down
Reminiscent of autumns past.

It'll be Christmas before too long,

The remnants of summer fade fast
It seems to be autumn at last
Leaves are turning gold and brown
They all tumble down

The remnants of summer fade fast
It seems to be autumn at last
Leaves are turning gold and brown

The remnants of summer fade fast
It seems to be autumn at last

Hi luna00

Slugs in the garden are worse
The slimy trail they leave is a curse
With salt on their tails
They taste better than snails
Oh! I don't like this yucky verse

The remnants of summer fade fast

Slugs in the garden are worse
The slimy trail they leave is a curse
With salt on their tails
They taste better than snails

Slugs in the garden are worse
The slimy trail they leave is a curse
With salt on their tails
They climb up my pails

Hi luna and welcome. Limericks here, two lines of eight syllables, two of five then one of eight. 8 8, 5 5, 8.

Grasshoppers really love leaping
They’re surely not meant for keeping
They give me the creeps
And jump onto heaps
And sometimes they seem to be peeping

Slugs in the garden are worse

Grasshoppers really love leaping
They’re surely not meant for keeping
They give me the creeps
And jump onto heaps

Grasshoppers really love leaping
They’re surely not meant for keeping
They give me the creeps

Grasshoppers really love leaping
They’re surely not meant for keeping

I know a book seller in Crewe
I loved him with a love so true
He gave me free books
And long sexy looks
But reading is all that we do

It was peaceful at home for an while
After scenes so shocking and vile
It started again
When she brought home an hen
And managed the family to rile.
