Only then will I head off home
And sort out my wet hair with a comb
I'll try a new style
With which I'll beguile
Everyone wherever I roam

I'll charm everybody I meet

The world just seems to have gone mad
With people hurt which makes us sad

I need to stop seeing the news
It brings on a bout of the blues
My channel I'll switch
Hearing Trump I'll ditch
And I'll try to stay off the booze

The world just seems to have gone mad

The daily news is too much
It now lines my rabbit's hutch
There's cheerier fare
For those who do care
To read about celebs and such

I need to stop seeing the news

A holiday would be so good
I’d get away soon as I could
To warm days and nights
No need to wear tights
If I could do that, then I would.

I might just book a hotel room
To keep away those thoughts of doom
A soft king size bed
And a book I've not read
No worrying thoughts can loom!

A holiday would be so good

I hope he doesn't cost too much
Don't want to be left in the lurch
I've nowhere to go
So feel a bit low
But I'm not yet depressed as such

I might just book a hotel room

I'm really enjoying this week
Except for the roof, which sprung a leak
I put out some pales
And now we have gales
So a roofer I now must seek

I hope he doesn't cost too much
