New Limerick Thread II 2016 (following New Limerick Thread)

When I was a teen I was wild
With crazy excitement beguiled
The whole world was mine

When I was a teen I was wild
With crazy excitement beguiled

When I was a teen I was wild

At our age, we can only dream
And play quiet games, it would seem
We need to sit down
In a warm dressing gown
And drink a hot chocolate with cream

At our age, we can only dream
And play quiet games, it would seem
We need a sit down
In a warm dressing gown

At our age, we can only dream
And play quiet games, it would seem
We need a sit down

At our age , we can only dream
And play quiet games, it would seem.

Monster trucks are the toy of the day
Best keep your feet out of the way
Or it's whoosh and wham
Into legs they slam
And there’s not a lot you can say

At our age , we can only dream

Monster trucks are the toy of the day
Best keep your feet out of the way
Or it's whoosh and wham
Into legs they slam

Monster trucks are the toy of the day
Best keep your feet out of their way,
Or it's woosh and wham

Monster trucks are the toy of the day
Best keep your feet out of their way

Kids don't play on the streets these days
In front of screens is more their ways
They don't play Hopscotch
They just sit and watch
But that's how a modern kid plays.

Monster trucks are the toy of the day

Kids don't play on the streets these days
In front of screens is more their ways
They don't play Hopscotch
They just sit and watch

Kids don’t play on the street these days
In front of screens is more their ways
They don’t play Hopscotch

Kids don't play on the streets these days
They fill their time in other ways

Kids don’t play on the street these days
In front of screens is more their ways

Let’s go back:
No aches or pains, just cuts, bruises
Clever games with all our ruses
I don’t understand
How taps on the hand
Can now be called as ‘abuses’

Kids don’t play on the streets these days

Yes,it's got a bit mixed up! Can you start it again Magenta8?

Sorry I can't follow this thread we seem to have lost the sequence. I'll get my hat.

She looked o’er the hills, sun and shade
And wandered thru a fern filled glade

She looked o’er the hills, sun and shade

GoldenLady

Then the sun shone and birds did sing
A golden glow lit up everything
Endless summer days
No rain,mist, or haze

And to her heart warmth did it bring

No aches or pains, just cuts, bruises
Clever games with all our ruses
I don't understand

No aches or pains, just cuts, bruises
Clever games with all our ruses

Then the sun shone and birds did sing
A golden glow lit up everything
Endless summer days
No rain,mist, or haze
We were happy with anything

No aches or pains, just cuts, bruises
