I’ve got a Tower air fryer on order after reading a recommendation on here. I think the only thing I’ve recommended is fleecy bedding, and I’ve just bought some more in the sales-a super king-size duvet set and an undersheet £21.50 altogether, so near enough half price. Do I mind having snow and reindeer patterned covers on throughout the year? Not at that price! Same question . . .
Sorry MrsKen33 your post wasn’t showing. Usually just a meal out, but last year we booked a cruise for our WA . . . and celebrated isolating in Germany!
I kept seeing people raving about air fryers and asked my nephew if he would like one (since he supplies me with meals). We got him one of the big ones and hes very enthusiastic about it.
Has anyone got an oodie?
Ive got a long fleecy robe I bought a few years ago with a hood and big pockets. Serves the same purpose.
Yes biglouis I was given one for Christmas. It’s lovely and warm but I also have a long furry robe. My Oodie is warmer, but the other was fine, except the pockets my phone kept falling out if the pockets. Anyone know how Oodies wash? Do they come out just as fluffy?
I have something called a "slanket" its a blanket qith sleeves that you can wear while sitting on the sofa. My nephew washed it and it came out fluffy from the dryer. I did brush it up a bit. So i expect the oodies will stay fluffy.
Anyone got any special tips for keeping these things fluffy?
No idea, I can’t wear anything like that as I’d get too hot
How many times have you moved house? I think that we need to move this year, but I’m absolutely terrified and dreading it. Just the thought of it nearly gives me a panic attack
Four times when the children were small, same area just bigger houses. Then we stayed put for 40 years. Moved five years ago to be near DD.. Get a good removal company in Fanny they will do it all for you.
‘Morning Ken! One good thing is that MrC’s nephew is the owner of the best and biggest removal company here! I’ve got sooo much stuff. Most of which I won’t/ can’t take with me. I honestly think that I’ll have to get house clearance people in. It’s so daunting
Ive moved house 9 times if you count moving out of my parents house. 4 times in my native Liverpool and 5 since I came to Manchester. It has got a lot more stressful since I acquired more possessions!
Have you ever organized a house clearance?
I did in 1979 when my gran left me the contents but the house itself went to my two aunts. I had to get it cleared so they could put it on the market. It was a lot of hard work but taught me a lot about antique dealing. Before that I had been merely a collector but I then began seriously dealing.
Have you made any Resolutions? Mine is definitely to try to do more things for me. Especially going to the Sketching Club, which I vowed to do months ago
I'm trying to read all my Bill Bryson books again. I've started with his life of Shakespeare. It's fascinating.
I'm taking down all my decorations and Christmas lights today. The batteries are only half used. Do you keep them or discard them? (properly recycled, of course)
I can't say that they were in the sales and I was warned that prices were going up - but what the hell, I fancied having two armchairs re-upholstered. When they've been returned I'll be off to town to order new curtains.
My sitting room is my little haven from the world. Do you consider any part of your home in the same way?
My lounge first and foremost, I love just relaxing on my sofa with my dog, just watching a film with a candle glowing. My bedroom comes a close second, I love to get cosy in bed & read for an hour.
Do you read in the daytime or mainly at night. I tend to read in the evening before going to sleep.
I like historical novels and family sagas and stories involving some of the same characters, whether that’s like Cormoran Strike or a vaguely romantic series set in Texas.
Have you ever had kitchen unit doors replaced? Did it work?
