He tried out some contact lenses
But they seemed to cause him frenzies
Got stuck in his ‘lids’
What a waste of quids
And quite a lot of those pences

Bought a special mirror today

He tried out some contact lenses
But they seemed to cause him frenzies
Got stuck in his ‘lids’
What a waste of quids

He tried out some contact lenses
But they seemed to cause him frenzies
Got stuck in his ‘lids’

He tried out some contact lenses
But they seemed to cause him frenzies

Gilbert was so absent of mind
He`d often leave his specs behind
His teeth in a cup
Tripped over the pup
Trying his spectacles to find

He tried out some contact lenses

Gilbert was so absent of mind
He’d often leave his specs behind
His teeth in a cup
Tripped over the pup

Gilbert was so absent of mind
He’d often leave his specs behind
His teeth in a cup

Gilbert was so absent of mind
He’d often leave his specs behind

The next storm to come was Franklin
I don't think he came to Maplin
He blew a hooley
Did damage duly
Blew past The Needles to Shanklin.

Gilbert was so absent of mind

The next storm to come was Franklin
I don`t think he came to Maplin
He blew a hooley
Did damage duly

The next storm to come was Franklin
I don`t think he came to Maplin
He blew a hooley

The next storm to come was Franklin
I don’t think he visited us in Maplin

Now that Eunice has done her worst
I`ve escaped, my drains haven`t burst
My fence is battered
My plants are scattered
This poem is really well versed

The next storm to come was Franklin

Now that Eunice has done her worst
I've escaped, my drains haven't burst
My fence is battered
My plants are scattered

Now that Eunice has done her worst
I've escaped, my drains haven't burst
My fence is battered

Now that Eunice has done her worst
I’ve escaped, my drains haven’t burst

Now that Eunice has done her worst

I'm more of a practical sort
I'll be glad if, for me, he bought
A new food blender
Or front wall render
In the end what I got was naught

Wishing all safety from Eunice

I'm more of a practical sort
I'll be glad if, for me, he bought
A new food blender
Or for the front wall, some render

I`m more of a practical sort
I’ll be glad if, for me, he bought
A new food blender

I`m more of a practical sort
I’ll be glad if, for me, he bought

I`m more of a practical sort
I’ll be glad if, for me, he got

A sonnet is a poem of love
With gentle thoughts just like a dove
With words romantic
But not dramatic
As if sent from heaven above

I`m more of a practical sort

A sonnet is a poem of love
With gentle thoughts just like a dove
With words romantic
But not dramatic

A sonnet is a poem of love
With gentle thoughts just like a dove
With words romantic
