I found woodworm in the larder cupboard. I decided to remove the shelves, rather than treat them, as there were so many holes.
So far, I've got one shelf out after a lot of banging and exasperated exclaiming.

The larder & sink unit were a bit of a bodged job by a friend of DH, 40 years ago, but they're solid!

I now want to get rid of as much of the larder as I can, without the sink unit collapsing.

Thought it wouldn't take long to vacuum the stairs but my super strong sucking Henry whipped up a glove so I had to stop, take the lid off, cut the bag open and, using a knitting needle, poke around all the horrid dust to retrieve it. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Then I put it back together again with a new bag, had to vac the glove (which will now go in the wash) and then do the stairs. I need a sit down and a cup of tea.

Oh dear. My special novelty sandwich fillings were a disaster. Feel sick.

I can't find anything strong enough to cut the garden wire I am using to tie up my new trellis. Or it's me being weak, probably.

Since retirement I like washing-up by hand but with rubber gloves.
It is rare that the supermarkets have the medium size.

People seem to be getting better at zoom calls.
I'm not seeing views of people's nostrils or tops of heads so much these days.

I spent hours this morning giving the kitchen a really thorough clean, my granddaughter gets up eventually and announces she’s going to do some baking!

I’m trying to grow some of the flowers for my daughter’s wedding this summer - fed up as this morning I saw (for the first time ever) a rabbit in my garden.

I'm feeling very technically adroit. Bought a tablet on line and have managed to set it up and transfer everything from my old one to this new one. (Took all day though!) New phone next. Not looking forward to that.

I've just had a perfect three days. My son and his partner came to stay with me and it was lovely.

I must post a letter but it never stops raining. I will just have to bite the bullet.....

I can never calculate the right number of squares for a patchwork quilt, I feel very stupid.

A lovely looking deep round coffee Victoria sponge cake topped with coffee icing found it’s way into my shopping basket this morning which means - Oh dear! - we’ shall have to eat it ?

The starlings, who have steadfastly ignored our RHS high energy balls, are once more flocking for the cheaper ones. I can take a hint!

My youngest son in law is 40 today. Beginning to feel a bit long in the tooth

Trying to empty the freezer and start again,so more lamb chops tonight.

Desperately need new shoes, as confirmed once again by the state of my wet socks.
