Smooth peanut butter

My granddaughter (6) loves smooth peanut butter. Where she lives in the Czech Republic, they can buy this with no additives (sugar, salt, oil) and no brown bits of peanut 'skin'. Here I cannot find anything that fulfills these requirements. The 'pure' ones have the brown bits (presumably to add a touch of verisimilude) and the own brand ones with no brown bits have sugar salt and palm oil.
Does anyone know of a brand that ticks all the boxes?

Aldi do a 1kg tub of 100%peanut butter for 3.99, brand name Grandessa. I've not noticed any bits. Lovely on rice cakes

Another vote for Lidl's own 100% smooth peanut butter. No additives and I've never seen any "brown bits" in mine.

Lidl and Aldi:
Ingredients:peanuts!
And cheap too!

Morrisons do one made with just nuts. It is delicious!

Whole Earth is nothing but peanuts

Just an aside ... if any of you have dogs who adore peanut butter as much as mine does! Please don't give them any peanut butter which contains palm oil or xylitol (an artificial sweetener). Both are poisonous to dogs, but not to humans! Information passed to me by the Dog Trainer at puppy training classes. Just in case nobody has passed this information to any dog owners. 🐶

ALDI smooth peanut butter is just peanuts, nothing else.

I have Meridian. It’s manufactured in the UK, and has no additives at all if you get the no sugar/no salt version. None of their products contain palm oil. It does have the skins though, peanut butter is healthier with them on.

I buy this and it has no brown bits in it. Looks like Sunday but with no additions.

I like pip & nut crunchy though with chopped up banana on toasted sourdough 😋

Aldi and Lidl both sell large tubs of peanut butter, containing 100% peanuts

Skippy from Morrisons ..smooth or crunchy…delicious.

I buy mani- life peanut butter. Two ingredients: peanuts and salt (0.3%).

I have this and love it too, though I admit I have the crunchy one.

What are sometimes called «Refill shops» ie you take your own bottles or jars and refill from bulk containers will do pure peanut butter— you can watch it being ground down into mushand extruded.
Literally no additives of any sort.

M&S 100% smooth peanut nutter. Only contains peanuts.

Pip and Nut haven't brown bits and fit all your criteria.

Yes. Sainsburys own brand peanut butter is nothing but peanuts. Not even salt. No added oils. Comes in crunchy as well which I get and find no brown flecks or so few as to be noticed.

Nanny27 where do you buy the presumably shelled and unsalted peanuts from? Would need a kilo i guess.

Essexgirl145 Sat 11-Jul-26 13:59:45

Dotscot.........Llydls do a very old fashioned peanut butter . It's completly free of anything but peanuts and you have to stir the oil in. It's gorgeous.

Nanny27 Sat 11-Jul-26 13:58:16

I mske my own. Takes 2 minutes in a food processor and I don't add anything

DotScot Sat 11-Jul-26 13:57:54

I investigated Pip'n'nut, Mariebel (Lidl) and Whole Earth yesterday. Same story. No additives = bits, no bits = additives. Here in the Scottish Borders, I'm a bit far from Wareham I'm afraid, mrsmeldrew
I'll keep searching. There MUST be a no bits, no additives one out there.

namo Sat 11-Jul-26 13:44:49

I’ve just bought some of that Wareham peanut butter. I take my empty jar and fill it. Love it.

Frenchgalinspain Sat 11-Jul-26 13:42:27

Try a local Ecological Health Food Specialty Shop or Amazon U.K.

mrsmeldrew Fri 10-Jul-26 12:43:09

I visited a shop in Wareham that ground the peanuts if you bought your own jar. It was delicious and cheaper than Whole Earth (which contains palm oil)

argymargy Fri 10-Jul-26 12:14:11

You're right, Marmin, but it's organic palm oil and doesn't detract from the taste, in my opinion, which is why I suggested it.
