I absolutely love white chocolate and when I’m back down to my ideal weight I’ll treat myself!

Could be a bit too sweet. Can highly recommend dark chocolate ginger biscuits in Lidl, in the deluxe range in a box.
But shall have to give these biccies a fair go.

To me, white chocolate is the work of Satan. 😈

Samsara1 Tue 16-Jun-26 11:32:04

I used to love a HobNob but only like very dark chocolate now.

poppysmum Tue 16-Jun-26 10:42:16

i must admit i find white chocolate rather sweet and too creamy obviously due to the fat content. i always think of white as for kids ie Milky Bar buttons etc.
will try it but not holding out much hope
btw is it only me or do Hobnobs etc make me have an awful coughing fit? digestives do too. obviously bits of grain but not good idea if going out somewhere

Most likely ViceVersa 😃

Germany. Sorry, I should have specified. They are called "Hobbits" here.

Usedtobeblonde Tue 16-Jun-26 10:09:06

Oh a senior moment, I thought the post was from * Jaxjacky* and think JackyB lives in Germany? France?

Shinamae Tue 16-Jun-26 10:07:50

Never, ever have I liked any form of white chocolate 😬

Usedtobeblonde Tue 16-Jun-26 10:06:40

If they aren’t on sale here, what did I have yesterday?
I didn’t see the packet, was just offered a biscuit.
Are the supermarkets selling their own brand?

Usedtobeblonde Tue 16-Jun-26 10:04:27

I had one yesterday, it looked very insipid but tasted ok as I like an occasional white chocolate.
It didn’t look well covered, the biscuit showed through.
However I shall stick to the dark chocolate ones, my personal favourite

JackyB Tue 16-Jun-26 09:36:43

Ooh lovely. I can't stomach chocolate over 30% and to be honest, I've gone off the taste anyway, so very light milk choc or better still white "chocolate" are my favourites. And on Hobnobs - what's not to like? I hope they start selling them over here, too.

Oreo Tue 16-Jun-26 08:26:08

I don’t like the look or the taste of white chocolate but I know many do and HobNob will have done market research before introducing them.Having said that, they may still bomb and then will be withdrawn.
I don’t like any chocolate on a HobNob.
I’m a HobNob purist 🤭

Maremia

One thing about white chocolate in general is the amount of sugar/fat compared to the amount of actual chocolate.

I don't think many people are choosing chocolate for the health values!

Bridey Tue 16-Jun-26 07:42:43

I think they might deserve a bit of researching!😂

GrannyGravy13 Tue 16-Jun-26 07:01:04

I am not a chocolate fan, but I might have to try them (for research purposes of course)

I really, really detest white chocolate but I know many do like it. I can’t see the point in it, personally. Horror when opening those chocolate balls and finding a white one! Avoid the blue wrappers.

MartavTaurus Tue 16-Jun-26 04:19:56

Worth a try.
A couple of my DGC only eat white chocolate, so they will enjoy them.

Padstow13 Tue 16-Jun-26 04:07:59

Hmmmm.....in two minds about this. HobNobs lovely, but white chocolate is, I've found, rather insipid.

I'll try them though. But I hope the 'experiment' won't tarnish my experience of traditional HobNobs.

(Oh, pull yourself together - it's only a bloody biscuit for crying out loud!)
