Bottled water

My daughter buys it for my granddaughter. She's peg fed and the water goes into a syringe.

Besides which, I like the taste. I buy still not sparkling.

I used to work in Waitrose and was always astonished at the amount of bottled water they sold. I used to say people weren’t buying water, they were buying plastic. Madness.

Perhaps every few months I buy a single bottle of sparking water, I get it in a glass bottle from M&S. Many brands have a very high sodium content, crafty as you feel more thirsty after drinking it.

I 🩷 Highland Spring water. I buy cases of it from downstairs in Home Bargains or Sainsbury’s. I’m drinking a bottle of it now.
I’ve gotten into the habit. I can’t think of the last time I drank a glass of tap water.

We like Badoit too. You can buy it on Ocado. Plastic bottles, that is.
We bring home 24 bottles of Plancoët every time we're in France.

Can you still get Badoit in the UK. I ask as I thought it Danone had stopped exporting it in 2019.

I mostly drink tap water but I do like the taste of Badoit, especially in glass bottles.

I buy and drink bottled water. My money, my choice.

I drink a lot of plain water and can’t bear the taste of our tap water. I use tap water for hot drinks and all other household stuff.

I doubt that many people buying bottled water use it exclusively instead of tap water for everything.

TiggyW I am amazed when I see people in my local supermarket stocking up with crates of the stuff. Food is expensive enough without adding to the bill unnecessarily.

I do not drink plain water; I use only tap water for coffee, etc. I pay enough for my metered water without buying bottles. I have no idea where I would store it, and my kitchen is a decent size.

Maybe they don’t know how many nanoplastics are in a liter of bottled water.

I rarely buy bottled water. I hate the whole concept of it.

I drink tap water all the time, but do use a filter jug for the kettle purely because I live in a very hard water area.

We take turning on our taps and having a glass of water far too much for granted I think.

Our tap water tastes foul. I filter it but makes no difference tho I do use filtered water for the kettle. So I’m afraid we buy bottled water for household use for drinking water. Sorry.

We drink tap water and our grown family do too though a couple of my daughters use a filter, and they have flasks to put it in when out and about. Even our GCs aged 2 and a half and 20 months have a eco friendly water bottle especially for their age group which has an integral straw. Not sure who keeps buying it but surely it should be phased out and people should be encouraged to use tap water or tap water with a filter. After all is a rip off, people are paying for something they already pay their water bills for.🙄

That’s great, Churchview.👍 Anyone would think we lived in a third world country! Bottles of fizzy drinks are bad enough, but I can’t understand why anyone buys trolley loads of plain water. Where do they store it all? 🤔 Or do they resell it in small shops?

Thanks to campaigning by our local Plastic Free group we now have a water fountain on the sea front so people can top up their own reusable bottle free of charge.

Speaking as someone who picks up litter every day in my town and on my local beach I have to say that I really wish bottled water had never been invented. Plastic drink bottles account for a huge percentage of what I pick up.

It’s never done me any harm - and I’m paying for it!

They probably don’t trust tap water.
