I’ve made the cake rather late but as we usually keep it for
DH's birthday in early January it will be mature enough ( more brandy trifle than cake by then. For some reason I have small amounts of glacé cherries,flaked almonds ,brown sugar and lemon peel left over . I haven’t made mincemeat this year. I’ve run out of ideas . Has anyone a good recipe for small amounts ? I’m thinking cookies like florentines but I’ve no chocolate in. I could throw them all out but the alternative is storing them then throwing out past sell by dates. Help please.
