What's for dinner today?

Nothing fancy today. Gammon and pineapple with new potatoes and salad.

We had chicken in a rich cream and marsala sauce with fried potatoes with onions and minted peas. It was lovely.

Just thought I'd 'confess' that I had two(!!) ice creams on sticks for my evening meal. Bliss! I've been doing so much in the garden and the heat was intense. One of my better decisions/lapses. 👍

I’ve just made two curries from scratch for a family lunch tomorrow and am all “cooked out” now, so it will either be a very simple salad or sandwiches for me. I ate sensibly yesterday 😇 so feel I can get away with it!

Pork chops with blue cheese sauce. Jersey royals. Broad beans from the garden and peas.

We are dining out with friends at a new Italian restaurant a mile away.

Fish finger sandwich. 😋 delicious!

A simple baked ratatouille. Probably to be eaten outside with some fresh bread.

Pork and chickpea curry with gf naan bread.

Pizzas. DH goes to Waitrose and chooses his. I buy GF Margarita and improvise! Tonight's will be topped with red onion, pancetta, sun dried tomatoes, more cheese and a drizzle of chili oil.

A large mixed salad along with whatever DH throws on the BBQ

Out to dinner with our neighbours tonight to an Italian Restaurant. I haven’t been there before, but the menu looks good. I’ll probably have 2 starters, an asparagus dish followed by prawns.

Haggis wraps with sweet peppers and Siraccha sauce.

Jerk chicken with rice and kidney beans.

Slow cooked lamb. Twas good!

DH said it was good, he doesn't mind if I make it again in about a year's time 😁

A classic Italian homemade oven baked Meatloaf (beef) .. and a fennel, blood orange and field green salad and a home made vinaigrette.

Dessert: A 3 Type Cheeseboard with fresh farmers market fruits. (strawberries, blueberries, rasberries & white peaches).

We shall be having lunch on our terrace today. Perfect comfortable weather 22 centig degrees and sunny ..

Serving with a glass or two of a delightful Ramón Bilbao - La Rioja Oak aged red 2015 (Reserva).

Which type of Quiche have you prepared ?

Big fan of Quiche .. I usually prepare a Swiss Gruyère & Spinach or a Lorraine.

Mexican-style roasted veg ragù with rice, salad, fruit.

Seems we've many leftover black beans (I over estimated when soaking/cooking) and a large quantity of rice in the fridge as well.
