I like tart fruit in a leaf salad, so I add thinly sliced kiwi fruit or oranges to my green salads. Clementines with the segments kept intact but sliced through the centre are also a great addition, with the jeweled circles as an edible decoration.

I'm fine with them on cereal or in a fruit salad. They're just too strong on their own. I have the same problem with oranges.

See if you can get the yellow version, they're much milder.

Green kiwifruit (NOT "kiwis") is very acidic when under-ripe, so like most other fruits, should be kept until it ripens before eating.

I love them,but reading how some of you had allargic reactions i don`t think i will buy any more.

When it happened to me I was living in Australia, and I did wonder at the time if it could be different sprays being used that aren't used on crops sent to Europe, but I really have no idea. Apparently most come to England from Italy or Chile - Australia grow a lot of their own.

My daughter is allergic to them too.

Same with me. Always loved them, but a few years ago got tongue and throat swelled up and my mouth was burning. Don't know why I should suddenly become allergic to them but been too scared to touch them since. It was quite scary.
