Glad you like them Falconbird. I am going to get my winter boots from Anna Field. Last Autumn there were some fab boots, and really reasonably priced. If I remember, I'll let you know what I think of them!!!

Tried Shoe Zone The Anna Field shoes do look tempting and not too expensive. I always have non-leather handbags but shoes are a problem. Might try a pair from Anna Field. Thks hildajenniJ

Falconbird, have you tried Anna Field shoes? They are all imitation leather and synthetic materials.I haven't tried them myself, but they look very tempting.

I'm a veggie and have been for over 30 years. I would love to find shoes that were not made of leather and were comfortable. I've tried plastic shoes and they are torture the same applies to daps/plimsoles and other textile shoes.

Just for the record, there are some of us who eat meat some of the time and even wear leather shoes, who are extremely careful about other animal or animal-tested products. I was vegetarian for a few years and still eat more vegetables than meat but do admit to eating meat.

Laziness, Atticus. I do not eat much dairy. I use plant milks, and eat very little cheese unless I am out. I do keep saying I should be vegan. However that would mean that I should not buy any dairy for my grandchildren. Two of them would not mind. Their mother is vegan. The other two, who live near me, have small appetites, and would not eat much protein if it was not for cheese.
I ran a vegetarian cafe and a vegetarian guest house for 15 years of my life. If these had been vegan twenty years ago, they would have folded. Vegetarian was hard enough in the late 80s. We sold the cafe the week after my eldest granddaughter was born,l and she is 22 now.

I've been a vegan for about a dozen years, now, but I was veggie for about 2 years prior to that. However, once I became aware of the cruelty that exists in dairy and egg production, I gave up those things. I view vegetarianism as a transient position.

I'm curious about what it is that makes one become and remain veggie.

I intend no criticism of anyone with this post, I'm just genuinely curious.

When all our children were still at home and in their teens we cut out meat and chicken for a few years, as it was costing too much. We did eat fish though.
At the time I bought some of Rose Elliot's books and used them a lot. I still make some of her recipes.

Same here, nanny and boheminan. It's good that there is a company that realises that vegetarians get older. Having visited a few people in care homes and hospitals, I am often appalled at the food choices.

The Coop were first in labelling wine and beer as suitable for vegetarians/vegans. It's a pity we do not have one in the village. Much better than the Spar we have.

Thanks for putting that on durhamjen. Like NannyGoat12345 I'm pretty much a life-long veggie, going back to the (not so good) old days when all I could get veggie on a menu, if I ate out, was cheese omelette or a roast dinner without the meat , thankfully there's much more choice now

Co-op has bunnies on kitchen cleaner, bathroom cleaner and lots of other products. Great, effective and cheap. Well done co-op.

Me, me, me! I have been a veggie for nigh on 40 years (before it became 'fashionable') always try and use leaping bunny toiletries and cosmetics - the only time I struggle is like at present, when on holiday in France

Hurrah for Superdrug and the Co-op for producing more products which are cruelty free - Boots have got a long way to go!
