Easiyo

I discovered Easy-yo in New Zealand where it comes from and am firmly devoted to it, except the flavoured varieties which I reckon are a bit synthetic.

If it smells alcoholic, or starts growing a mould, then chuck it! The combination of the lactic acid and refrigeration should keep it good for a week.
I always put the pot through the dishwasher between uses to make sure it is really clean to start with.

I reckon yogurt is ok to eat until it starts fizzing, it's fermented milk anyway isn't it?

JessM how long can you keep it in the fridge? I made some last Tuesday and still have a bit left. I guess if it tastes a bit tangy I should get rid.

No but all my family like my homemade yoghurt when I make a raita to go with a curry!

Sounds much more complicated than mine; I just put in a teaspoon of natural yoghurt and top up the container with UHT milk and switch it on. Eight hours later I have delicious creamy yoghurt.
