As someone with type 2 diabetes, I am conscious of a feeling of numbness in my toes, so try to exercise my feet and toes while lying in bed. This morning the muscles in my calves suddenly cramped up and were very hard and painful. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. I concentrated on relaxing the rest of my body and my legs gradually relaxed too, but it took some time, and rubbing seemed to make it worse.
