Music from the 70s

My daughter got her first record player in the early 70s and played Jimmy Osmand Long Haired Lover from Liverpool incessantly. She was very young at the time in her defence.

I still need to watch the "Winter's Tale" video every Christmas! He was so gorgeous.

My all time favourites has to be Abba who for me, just sum up the 70's. I can't think of any song except Dancing Queen that gets all generations up on the dance floor.

Funny how such threads are assumed to be about pop music. Doe anybody listen to classical? To me, music of the 70s is late Benjamin Britten and some Michael Tippett.

I was born in 1955 and went to university in 1973, so I actually came of music age during the 70s.
