I enjoy reading the stick man it's such a lovely story the adventures he had and the grandchildren faces when you read it there in awe it's so nice to watch their actions

It has to be the Magic Faraway Tree across the range of my DGDs from 18 to 4. But we always had stories and DVDs of Thomas. DGD aged 7 still loves to look at a Thomas board counting book.

'Please don't chat to the bus driver' by Shen Roddie and Jill Newton is our favourite as it is full of fun and great to join in with as everyone shouts out 'Please don't chat to the bus driver!' throughout the story.

"The Little Gingerbread Man" was read to my grandchildren from the age of about 12 months, a lovely gentle story they enjoyed, it seems, forever. And it was even better when they were old enough to 'help' make and bake gingerbread men. Which they still ask for now in their twenties and which I shall, no doubt, be asked for when their children come along - I do hope so!

The tiger who comes to tea is read over and over. Read the smartest giant in town with my younges grandson but due to lockdown not been able to do so lately. Just missing everything.

My six year granddaughter, who has Autism, is obsessed with the Operation Ouch books - so that's what we read! I'm learning from the books too!

Has anyone noticed a deterioration in their grandchildren’s behaviour over lockdown? My darling 3.5 year old grandson, an only child, has started wetting and pooing in his pants. He has been to the GP who gave a course of antibiotics in case it was an infection but he is still doing it. The pooping only once so far but sometimes the wetting could be up to 4 times a day but sometimes not at all. I am worried that it might be psychological and if so, how do we deal with it?

Anything by Julia Donaldson is wonderful but my 3.5 year old grandson particularly likes The Snail and the Whale. It has everything - beautiful pictures, rhymes, repetition and gives an important message about nature, ecology, the ocean and the world.

I wish that I had duck feet by Theo LeSieg. My children all loved this book, they still quote it! My grandson also loves it, but due to the horrible split up of his parents, we have no contact, yet ?the book is sitting waiting ready for the day we get to see him ?

My Grandson likes 'The tiger that came to tea', we read that a lot!

When my grandson (nearly 5) was about 22 months old, I bought The Stick Man by Julia Donaldson to read to him, he loved it, he enjoys all her stories. A young friend told me about a fairly local place to take him for an outing - Yeadon Tarn - when we parked the car, got him out and got out of the car park, started walking down towards a huge great water area, he looked at me and said “where is the Stick Man”, to him it looked just like one of the walks the Stick Man takes. I thought that was so beautiful and think of it often, especially as he now lives abroad, whoops eyes are getting misty.

The Tiger who came to Tea is a family favourite! It’s been read over and over again! That’s always a good sign of a good book!

So many books to share and enjoy together with a granddaughter aged 5 and grandson nearly 3 plus a new baby due in early July. They both love any of the Thomas books and their favourite author at the moment is Nick Sharratt.

I have three granddaughters all of whom love anything my Julia Donaldson. Their particular favourite at the moment is the Smeds and the Smoos. We first read this on holiday last Autumn and has been popular ever since

Goldilocks and the Three Bears because I love trying to do funny voices.

My granddaughter has recently moved on from The Very Hungry Caterpillar to The Gingerbread Boy - helped, I think, because we make gingerbread men! I have an old Ladybird version which is quite graphic about the fox eating him in fractions but good for early maths even if she is only 2 1/2!!

I love reading Oi get off our train! To my 2 year old grandson - he loves shouting out that sentence as it crops up through the story. It’s a lovely book with an environmental message too.

It has to be a The Tiger Who Came to Tea. Read to my Two little great grandsons.

I got my granddaughter Winnie the Witch by Gorky Paul and she loves it . I love it too the illustrations and shouting Abracadabra especially ...always helps to love the stories too...must have read it 100 times. She now has a whole collection of Winnie stories and can chose different ones each time I stay.
