As I don't need any stuff. I would like countries to stop fighting with each other and try saying something nice. I would like my son's partner to answer my texts in less than five days. I would like to live long enough to see my brand new baby granddaughter grow up and be fit enough to look after her when needed. Not a lot to ask.?

At the moment I would just be happy if I could find the earrings that I bought for my granddaughter! My husband and I both saw them in our bedroom and they have disappeared.

My mother has vascular dementia and most days does not seem to enjoy life. I am hoping we can give her a happy and memorable Christmas this year.

The older I get the less I mind about Christmas presents for myself, though I still love hunting for the perfect gift for those close to me and spending too much time wrapping them beautifully!

I suppose if I had to choose a material item, I'd quite like a new DAB radio as both me and my partner love listening to the radio. Or book tokens, as we're both big readers (we got rid of our telly a few years ago and haven't missed it)

But I'll be quite content to sit in the warm glow of twinkly fair lights with the people I love....and a glass of sherry or something a bit bubbly!

I would like a Christmas with my 3 year old grandson which does not involve a trip to the hospital. He has cerebral palsy and has had a stay in hospital every december since he was born so it would be wonderful for him to have a Christmas he could really enjoy and obviously I will be reading lots of books with him.
For myself I would like a couple of hours alone to catch up on reading after all the preparations are done.

well, the stone from my engagement ring has fallen out and lost so Jewellery would be nice.

Echoing so many comments above, I earnestly wish that as many as possible of the prayers for good health can be answered, along with the same one we have made for so long, that someone very close and dear could see herself as the beautiful person and friend that others see.

I wish there weren't quite as many heart-wrenching contenders for our charitable donations this year as ever.

In gift terms I've returned to reading a few chapters of a book every night before nodding off, so the latest Joseph Wambaugh, or any crime or thriller novel would be much appreciated.

I wish for Christmas to be special again and not the spend-fest that it is, and that no shops or homes were allowed by law to put up decorations or play Christmas music until the week before!

This will be the first Chrismas for10 years that we havn't spent with DS,DiL and the 2DGDs . We have moved and are staying with DD so not much room DS and family will share this Christmas with the other grandparents, and cousins. I hope they have a joyful time and that next year we can all be together again. The reason that they have always come to us is that DiLs family are Muslim. So even though they have a special meal and presents they do not have Christmas

I would like a hug. It's such a long time since I've had one.

After a bad November health-wise for my OH and myself just wish for all results to come back clear so that we can enjoy our Christmas and then get away for a much needed holiday.
Oh and a new more up-to-date phone would be a lovely added extra surprise!

I would love to be able to but an Ipad air for my granddaughter to help with her GCSEs so not really on my list.

I wish for people to start thinking about others a bit more, don't judge so quick, be patient and love one another. If we all start it in our own 'circle', who knows it might catch on and spread around the world.

Christmas present wish, a fitbit and the energy to use it and return my body to the shape it was 20 years ago!!

A new bathroom! But realistically I'll settle for a happy day with no arguing.

I'm hoping for the new Dr Hook album, some books but most of all quality time with my husband, son and daughter and my 4 grandchildren

I would like everyone to have a really happy, peaceful and restful Christmas, with lovely surprises, good food, long walks and plenty of time for each other, and some "me-time" to read great books.
