How was your Christmas cake?

Mine was very tasty, I put a very thin layer of marzipan and I icing and only on the top. I still have one I made for my GS but he has COVID so it’s still here waiting.

I didn’t bother to marzipan or ice my Christmas cake this year, everyone preferred it as a fruit cake.

I have make a Christmas cake only for the second time, and admit I really like it! If anything I would add a few more cherries since they are my favourite. No icing on mine, so really it's fruitcake, not Christmas cake. How would you define the difference?

I'll be tasting it for the next month, since a little goes a long way.
