Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start to the day here in Brackley .
The usual routine with a bus trip into Bicester to shop and maybe have chat with people I know.
Come back have Lunch and relax this afternoon .
Health OK ,
As to the buses very few users so operators can withdraw services if poor use.
Take Care,
Mick

Good afternoon, Michael12 and everyone!

karmalady, the garment is a beauty!

Thankfully, I've not seen that awful ''date'' creep that came into the shop a few days ago, so hopefully he's moved on to somewhere else!

The monster migraine I have now started just after 10:30 yesterday morning, making me feel sick and ''swimy''. Took a couple of Paracetamol here at work with milk, but they made no difference. Another 2 about 6 pm with tea, and still not easing! Drinking water is supposed to help, but I guzzle about 2 litres every 24 hours as it is!

It started at the top of my head, then over the hours, in bed, it did an avalanche down my face, then both sides of my head, next to the right eye, then into the left neck.

As I was lying in bed about 10:30 pm on my right side, my brain felt as if it had splodged onto the right side of my skull, like grabbing a jelly and wobbling it to the right!

I took another 2 Paracetamol, washed down with a can of Coke. Woke up about 2 am to refill my water/orange juice bottle at the kitchen sink, and I was all over the place; I didn't really know what I was doing, as everything- waking up, switching the bedside light on, getting out of bed, walking to the kitchen, switching on the light, refilling, then reversing everything- it all seemed in slow motion!

Arrived at work this morning at 7:30, and my brain is still frazzled! It will eventually go; I've had tons of migraines over the years!

When I moved here to Whitby from Appleby in January, just before I left, I went into the Appleby Brysons Bakery and bought a 70CL bottle of Wicstun Distillery Toffee Cream Liqueur. £29.50.

Four days ago, I opened it for the first time, and oh my cod, it's GORGEOUS! A nice glass at home, snuggled on the settee, wrapped in a cosy throw, while reading a book, with my 2 RoboPets next to me!

I'm going to have to shoot; my entire head and brain are pounding!

See you later!

Marydoll what a lovely photo of you both!

Borrheid55 Wed 30-Sept-26 11:23:39

Morning all from a dreich Ashford in Kent. We need the rain. As many will know, I read the posts every day but don’t post often . I am somewhat housebound and my world has become very small. I don’t think I have very much of interest to report! But I do look forward to reading Marydoll’s post, we met at school in 1967!
What a lovely picture Marydoll. Happy anniversary to you both ! flowers Where have the years gone? I was in Paisley Mat on that day, had been there for nine weeks and was told that I would be having my baby on Sunday after one final complication had arisen. I had toxaemia, pre-eclampsia and premature labour to deal with and then they suggested I might have placenta previa! Fortunately, all went well and baby arrived healthy if a little groggy from the anaesthetic that I was given.
I hope you enjoy your quiet night with DH.
I look forward to the photo from last day at school! All the plans we had, all the different paths we took.
Hope everyone has a pleasant day. ☔️

fgt Just a thought. When I was involved with taking blind and partially sighted to a clinic, they had a rather good catalogue I think from the RNIB, and amongst other things they had a very good larger size pack of cards in clear colours. I have bought these for various people and the one great success was for a lovely gentleman who went to our whist group, but whose sight was getting worse. So he got a pack of these cards, and carries them round with him so that whatever table he is sat at uses these cards. Result he is still enjoying playing and socializing with the group and says that he also now quite enjoys a few games of patience at home. I think there were other things that might be worth looking at. I have found various useful things that help with my bad back that is officially meant for some specific users, and if you go to any hospital for anything I think you will find that some of the clinics might either have these catalogues or be able to tell you were you could find one. With that C date coming it might be a help!

Morning all from a bright and blustery West Oxfordshire.

Happy anniversary to the Dolls! It was our 50th this year.

Not sure about today. OH wants to visit our nearby NT property a final time before it closes until next year.

There’s always ironing and quilting.

Have a good day.

Good morning from Shropshire.Dry now after overnight rain.

A successful day in town.I had to go to two banks and the staff were kind and helpful at both.I also successfully got some T-shirts requested by my son in law.

A slow start to the day today then later collecting DGS2 from school to take him to Smyths toys and then for something to eat.He got a drum kit for his 7th birthday at the weekend and is excited to demonstrate!

Happy wedding anniversary to the Marydoll’s🍾🥂I hope you manage to get out tomorrow🙏🏻

I am sorry things are so tough for you physically madeleine but glad you have your fighting spirit back💪

Hoping that Stilllearning is home and feeling better.

Wishing everyone the best day possible🌻🦩

Happy Anniversary to you both Marydoll enjoy your quiet day and takeaway.🍾🥂

Marydoll Wed 30-Sept-26 08:55:28

We have just received a video message from Babydoll.

She was trying to say; Happy anniversary, but struggled. She wished us a happy nursery day instead. 🤣

Spening a day in a nursery would be my worst nightmare. 😱 My forte was working with older, challenging pupils.

Grammaretto Wed 30-Sept-26 08:53:07

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's dry but after heavy rain.

The skip is still sitting outside almost empty. I hope the neighbour who ordered it will be over later today to begin to fill it. Since fridges and mattresses are forbidden I am at pains to know what to chuck in it.😂😕

I am proud of you Madeleine. for your persistence, patience and tenacity while in such pain. Thankyou for doing what you do. flowers

I also have a headache after my language class GM in my case Gaelic. I'd spent hours on the wrong homework. 😟
I still enjoy my class. The teacher and the other pupils are good fun.

Chiropractor appointment this morning and then escape to yarn group.

I accepted the new quote for removals and cancelled the other one. There was very little difference between them really with all the add ons for insurance and key waiver surcharge - just in case.

I hate paying for insurance. But my GF famously never insured anything and their house burned down! But he was also a gambler and won enough money at the races to buy a farm.

I hear that our dear friend Stilllearning is in hospital for a few more days so sending her
flowers

Hope everyone has some joy today.

Good morning all .

A very happy anniversary to you both marydoll. A takeaway sounds just right.

All quiet here. Sun is out after heavy rain and I need to move.

Have the best day you can everyone

BlueSapphire Wed 30-Sept-26 08:26:58

Good morning everyone from an overcast Northampton, showers expected later, but very mild.

Another quiet day at home yesterday, but I think my cough is easing. I phoned my holiday insurance company to check that my recent cataract surgery would not make any difference to my insurance, and was relieved to find that it would not, and I would be fully covered. One worry off my mind.

Kitchen cleaning and tidying this morning, then out to the hairdresser late morning - I have to get the timing right for my eyedrops, need to fit seven in every day! Am desperate to get my hair cut, it has got too long and try as I can, impossible to style.

Easy dinner tonight of leftover pea and ham soup.

Wishing all a pleasant Wednesday.

Grandmabatty Wed 30-Sept-26 08:26:24

Marydoll happy anniversary to you both.
