Good morning all from a wet Black country.
Early start DH has a fishing contest, he has decided not to fish but still needs to go as he is the organiser and he takes another angler. Next year he is hoping to pass some of the organising on and do a bit less, after over 40yrs of running the club he feels some younger member should step forward.
Have not decided on my day depends on the weather, need to look for something for Dgs2 upcoming 8th birthday, have got some Lego but always buy some clothes he wants a nice shirt and a waistcoat.
Thoughts to those struggling, safe travels those on the move.
Will come back later to catch up with everybody's happenings.
Have a good day everyone whatever your plans 😎.

Good morning from sunny Greece. DS and DGD took a ferry to Ithaca to stay for a night with DS’s friend. I went to see them off with DD and we then visited a beautiful monastery in the hills.
I bought homemade honey and oregano oil from a wayside seller on the way back .

Another excellent good value meal in the evening by the water’s edge with the sound of the waves lapping against the rocks, moussaka for me.
Today a little tour of the island with DD driving.
Thoughts to all.

Good morning from damp and dismal s somerset, drizzle is expected on and off all day, I like it

Last night I decided to get a tv for my bedroom so I could be comfortable if winter is very cold. That will be arriving on monday. I have a tall chest of drawers, wide enough to fit this tv, there is an aerial socket behind. 32" sony

There is a picture on the wall behind where the tv will go. I took it down and decided to get the screws out of the wall asap this morning, so I could punch the rawlplug back in and plaster over. I have done all that and it will be ready to sand and then paint in an hour.

I am leaving at 9 driving to see Dd and want the second coat of paint on when I arrive home.

Strange but one thing always leads to another and now my landing is holding things I will de-clutter. or move. After ordering the tv, came the urge to re-vamp my bedroom but within the confines of using only what I already have. I will need to carry on next week, the overspill is spreading into other rooms upstairs and I am not liking that

Good morning from a dry but breezy Torbay.

Your holiday sounds idyllic, Ladyleftfieldlover. I found the air to be wonderfully pure on our visit to Switzerland last May.

DH arrived safely yesterday evening having driven his new Puma over via the ferry from Ouistreham to Portsmouth in preference to travelling by taxi and train which he has done usually, unless in my car.

We also watched Last Night of the Proms, grandMattie. I still remember the joy of being allowed to stay up late to watch this as a child, being more thrilled by the lateness of the hour than the actual music!

A blessed Sunday to you all! 🦩🥰✝️💐🦩

Morning all from Italy. We are off to Zermatt after breakfast to see the Matterhorn. Yesterday was a wonderful day. A 45 minute trip on Lake Maggiore, lunch followed by two hours in a beautiful garden.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from Malta where it is still dark and we are expecting rain and thunderstorms after over 100 days without a drop of rain. A high of 31°C today, a sign that things are cooling down.

I cleaned my windows yesterday, should have known it would rain!

I changed the sheets and did some cleaning before the boys arrived. As usual they never stopped eating but were very good and both asleep by 8.30 having had a busy day.

I’ve been awake since 4.45am, so annoying. Have just had a cup of tea but doubt I shan’t be able to sleep now.
Boys both still asleep.

Thank you for the kind comments about DD2’s car accident. She seems to be fine, just cross about the damage to her car.

Wishing you all a good day, special thoughts to those in the sick bay. Hope things improve.☀️

Good morning from a wet Trish Bristol. It has rained and will rain again; good, penetrating, gentle rain!
Yesterday was busier than I expected; the church coffee was full and lots of people came along, lots of chatting.
I came home rather tired as I had barely sat down for over two hours.
Usual postprandial nap, then I got a rather frantic text from a neighbour begging refuge from her anger re. Anchor and our obdurate residents.
She was ranting against the longer term residents who can’t get the fact that, regardless of whether we have a resident manager or not, they will keep to their hours and will not do any extra work whatsoever whatever the previous manager did. The past is finished, gone…
Quiet evening watching the last night of the proms, while hand stitching the sashing on my patchwork.
Church this morning, then empty.
Have a blessed Sunday ✝️. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good Morning, I suppose - the rain do still cometh down, eternally, in Cumbria.

But we need it.
