Butterfly grabbers , for scaredy cat

I have thought hard aggie but can’t help you.
Butterflies are so fragile that I think grabbing them with anything would damage/kill them.
I’m not much help I know but I am not scared by gentle flying things only birds in the house when my cat brings them in and let’s them go. since have a hunting cat I can even deal with mice.
I hope you find a solution soon although the season for them will soon be over.

Would you feel better about using the glass/card method if you wore rubber gloves so it didn’t touch your skin? I can’t pick up worms with my bare hands but gloves I can do! Otherwise a butterfly net?

I did think you were asking for butterfly toys for cats, at first.

I love butterflies and will help them out of the house…..but MOTHS! Urgh! I’m terrified 😂😂

I use a crabbing net for all flying insects that come indoors or get trapped in the greenhouse! It takes a bit of practise, but they all fly off unharmed.

I was going to say something similar, maybe a child's fishing net - which may or may not be the same as a crabbing net

You can buy a butterfly net with a telescopic handle so you don't have to get too near it.

I use an insect catcher which is like a plastic compartment on a stick with a door that slides shut but you have to have patience and let the insect go across itself so you don't damage it. In particular with butterflies which have powdery scales on their wings which help them fly.

It's longer than a fishing net.
