Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is going to be another one of those days. Wall to wall blue sky already. Yesterday it was mostly overcast and I managed to walk to school and back but inside the school building it was very warm. I’ve been sneezing for England and had to buy allergy eye drops from the pharmacy yesterday.

I spent ages yesterday morning trying to find out why my printer wouldn’t print after I had changed the ink tank. It would print test pages but suddenly nothing from my iPad. I still haven’t figured it out but fortunately I had the same documents on my phone and could print them from there. Late afternoon I had a long, grumpy (him, not me) conversation with DS who was on a train, and then GS phoned in the evening to tell me how his work placement was going.

Writers group at the library this afternoon. Jury’s out on whether I will go.

Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from Malta where another sunny day is beginning with a high of 37°C forecast.

Yesterday I went to EuroSpin and Lidl , then to the petrol station (we still have attendants here so I haven’t had to fill it up myself since I lived in the UK 😄)

I went slightly early for the boys and was glad I did as, on exiting the school gates, the line of cars waiting to get in stretched back almost to the main road. (The school is down a long, country lane that only goes to the two schools at the end of it)

DGS2 was fast asleep when we arrived home so I carried him in and he slept for a couple of hours whilst DGS1 and I had a nice time together, He even let me watch some of Sinner’s match!

DD3 picked them up at 6pm having had a lovely day on the boat with her colleagues, celebrating the end of another school year.

Today I don’t have a lot to do apart from washing my hair as tonight is my birthday treat from my children - going to see Michael Bublé! They all chipped in so we could have good seats. DD3 is taking me, bless her. I’m lucky with my kids.

Gosh, RosesandLilac, that sounds a heck of a lot to me!😱 No wonder you were exhausted. I do hope all goes well for you tomorrow, it has been far too long to wait. Hopefully all over soon. Take it easy today.

Take care in the heat Mick and everyone. Hope you have a good day. ☀️

Good morning from Bristol. All my windows are wide open as is my front door letting in a wonderfully cool gentle air movement.
r&l, you are very wise to try to anticipate all the things that would worry you after your operation.
I had a very busy day, ending with a pub dinner with my FAB cafe friends. We ate early and came home early.
FAB cafe this morning, book group this afternoon. I’m not sure I’ll go as it’s a 20 minute walk at the worst of the heat, although I would quite like to discuss our book - Jamaica Inn.
Keep safe, keep cool. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning Mick, it’s not easy for those of us with health issues in this heat, is it? Do be careful 🤗
It’s pleasantly cool here in south Glos, the horizon is tinged with pink as the sun rises.
I slept very badly again after totally over doing it yesterday ; I didn’t realise I had until I ground to a halt late afternoon. I didn’t do much by most people’s achievements but I scared myself a bit.
I had given the kitchen, bathroom and toilet a thorough clean, changed the bed, did 6 loads of washing including the duvet and mattress and pillows protectors and washed the floors. Written down it doesn’t look like much.
Today will be doing very little.
I’m dreading the building heat again this week despite being well prepared.
I have what I assume is my pre-op tomorrow afternoon, meeting the surgeon. I just want it done with now, I’m 19 weeks after my urgent 2 week cancer pathway referral.
I’m going to do some batch cooking in preparation for after the surgery, I am trying to make sure that I don’t have to worry about things when I get home.
Hope today goes well for everyone x
