What did you you think you would have by your current age that you don't?

Same as Georgesgran same age retireing and same 10 years till cancer came to him glad we had those years and done many beautiful things together not a day goes by without a thought about my dear man😥

I expected to be sharing an active retirement with my husband but he was diagnosed with mixed dementia aged 70 and has lost interest.

There is nothing important I can think of that I set out to do that I have not achieved. Except visit the Galapagos Islands.

I think I am this one.

My parents had it so much earlier.

I didn’t expect that I would still be living at my age, 89 next week, but I am and am thankful.
Reasonable good health, difficult family situations, but ticking along and perhaps looking to the future and not the past.

I always thought I’d be rich. I don’t know why. Anyway I’m not.

A happy marriage. Unfortunately my psycho ex husband wasn’t capable of making it happen

Dementia ! My father developed it at 67...so I'm on borrowed time and trying to live life to the full !!

I don’t think I ever thought about life in my mid seventies when I was younger, and if I did I probably thought I’d be globe trotting with my DH, enjoying the good life, not caring for my DH full time.
But it is what it is.

No mortgage

I did think I'd have my DH with me in old age but was not to be.

I have never even thought about it.

I don’t think I thought that far in advance. I’m perfectly content with everything I have. It doesn't mean that I’m not open to new adventures.

Definitely DH - such a fit man, ailed nothing until cancer appeared. I thank what/whoever that he retired at 55 and had 10 good years before he fell ill. 💔

I imagined I would have a reasonable level of fitness, and certainly never imagined I’d be so restricted, health wise.

Likewise.

I think I have everything I need to see me out.
I don’t take things for granted & I am thankful everyday for who & what I have, as you never know the minute that can be taken away in a heartbeat.
