This is not a bereavement post or designed to bring down those who have posted- I wish everybody could be as fortunate as I believe I have been - and indeed am as my entire life has been shaped by knowing we somehow got it right!

I'm grateful for mine, he drives me mad at times as I'm sure I do him, but he's my best friend and I know he'd move heaven and earth for me.

Well, mine died 27 years ago but I had nearly lost him when we had been married for just 3 years. Brain bleed due to an aneurysm. One day fine, next day collapsed. He was lucky in that although it changed his life he didn't drop dead that day, so yes, treat every day as if it might be the last.
