Donald’s 80th Birthday Event

Mr Soda & I are both 80 this year. Celebrating with a family meal, the family wanted to host a big event for us but it would just have been too much. We will enjoy a meal with them in our favourite restaurant much more.

Nothing Trump does would surprise me now. He seems to sink lower each day.

On eightieth birthdays people celebrate by doing things they enjoy. Trump enjoys seeing two bloodied men in hand to hand combat. Says it all really.

My 80th is on Monday. Going for a family meal the following weekend, with DDs and 6 adult GCs as not all available this weekend due to all working different shifts. Unfortunately it clashes with Father's Day so the restaurant will be busy, but we have managed to book for 10.
I have been saying '80 next' since last year so it won't feel any different.
I had a letter to say that my state pension will increase - by 25p a week! Whoopie-doo!
I hope you will all enjoy your celebrations.

I have just seen on the News that Trump has had erected a cage surrounded by seats for a Cage Fighting event to celebrate his 80th Birthday and their 250th Independence Day.😳

I’ll be 80 in September and our son is taking the Family to the Aquarium in Brighton near his home to celebrate.

DH is 80 next week. We will be in Italy - he asked me not to tell anyone on the tour that it's his birthday. We will have a quiet dinner together. I have a small gift in my bag for him and cards with theatre vouchers from my youngest daughter and my sister. I'm sure he will be fine with all that.

My big brother will be 80 in October, we will all go out for a meal after going to the theatre.

I was 80 not long ago. We had a nice get-together with family, and since it was also our 60 th wedding anniversary, a card from Charles and Camilla. Didn ‘t need more.

Oh, sadly, it seems that the weather might be a problem at the White House..possibly the well worn British phrase " Rain stopped play"

The event the POTUS has planned suits him very well, and, of course, he has found an opportunity to make money by marketing a commemorative coin.

I don’t see that a glitzy cage fighting event is a fitting celebration of American Independence, it’s just legalised violence. I hope that Trump is paying for it, not the long suffering taxpayers.
