Sorry, harrigran, of course I meant 80th! I do usually check my posts but obviously not that time 🤦🏼‍♀️

Good afternoon from Cardiff..... Here in Cardiff the temperature changes every five minutes — one day it’s spring, the next it’s winter again. I remember after Easter slipping into my summer uniform… feels like a lifetime ago now!

Roll on the sunshine — I’m ready for it.

Very late good morning from Yorkshire.
WiFi went down during the night and mobile connection is poor.
Today is my 80th birthday and we are having lunch out to celebrate.
Had an interesting day at Eden camp yesterday but it was so cold we were chilled to the bone.
Have a good day.

Good morning from sunny Sussex.
I’m still feeling yeugh from my dental problems (extraction/infection/bad reaction to antibiotic) but at least I can eat again 🙂. We had a lovely dinner yesterday with DD1 and SiL at their house. They had a very tall eucalyptus tree taken down last week so we were admiring the stump and talking about their plans for the garden. I made myself feel useful by pulling a few weeds. We saw DGD1 briefly after her work shift finished. She is doing some management training in a well-known fast food chain and the challenges of people-management are leaving her exhausted. She soon bounces back though 😊

Today we have to pack our campervan for a trip north, first to West Yorkshire to see my cousin, followed by a weekend on a campsite near Barnard Castle (no eye test booked!). We then head up to Scotland in good time for our (non-identical) twin DGSs’ 18th birthdays.
I hope all the travellers on here - Georgesgran, Ashcombe - will have good journeys.

Dragonfly, thinking of you and your DH today.

Grammaretto, funerals can be a comfort, though I know many people are finding other ways of celebrating loved-ones lives. I’m glad your brother-in-law’s funeral went well.

I have a visit this afternoon to the garden of a local U3a member. It’s a lovely sunny day at the moment so I hope it stays that way.

A late good morning from South Lanarkshire, I’m glad you felt it was so worthwhile to be at the funeral Grammaretto, I love that bit of the journey from Newcastle to Edinburgh, I hope the sun is shining for you.

Love the photo baubles, I regularly visit a friend in Seamill and I haven’t even seen Arran for ages, it’s been cloud and rain every time.

Sorry your daughter is having another bad dip Gingster, 🙏🏻.

One more step along the road FGT, X

I know (or can imagine🤓) that too much heat can be difficult but I really hope the forecast heat travels as far as us for a while!

Good wishes to all.

Good morning all from a train approaching Newcastle. I'm on my way home after yesterday's funeral.
It was sad ofcourse but hearing all the tributes from his family and friends made it feel important to be there.

I'm being met by a df in Edinburgh.

Goodness MD what a kerfuffle at the till but what a pretty garden it's going to be.

I work on the till every Friday and it used to scare me when the queue built up or if someone began to tap their fingers on the counter grr.
Now I ignore it. If someone dares says they need a quick takeaway, I send them to Greggs 😅

Hope your journeys go well today and the birthdays are fun.

Georgesgran

Good Morning from Spain. A quick breakfast and being picked up 8.30. We should be in Newcastle by 1pm and I have a chiropody appointment at 2.30.

Best wishes to all. X

Hope you don’t get a flight delay Georgesgran.

I’ve just nipped downstairs to the pharmacy below as spur of the moment decided to get my Covid jab before going away next week. It’s easier nipping in there than walking through the park to the doctor’s surgery!

Yesterday was the local history society outing to look at two Roman sites in South Wales, an excellent and interesting day but frustrating in that uneven ground proved daunting and made me recognise that I am more limited than I have admitted. I didn’t want to risk a fall and so didn’t attempt to reach some of the most interesting bits and am cross with myself and fed up that I have become a doddery old lady. When did that happen, I wonder.

TheWeirdoAgain60 Tue 12-May-26 09:26:50

Good morning, Michael12 and all!

Last night I did something I do every month and dread it - changed the duvet cover and pillow!

I only have one single bed, a single duvet and one pillow, but it's amazingly awkward on your own! Loads of huffing, puffing and cuss words!

I took off the one with a huge Boa Constrictor on it and shoved them in the washing machine, and replaced them with one with Gizmo on it!

But when I worked as a carer in a home, I was changing beds multiple times a day and night, old off and new on within minutes, and it didn't bother me, yet changing my own single one every month exhausts me and takes me forever! HA!

Misbehave as much as you all can!

Thank you Grandmabatty. It really is a rollercoaster and thank you for making me laugh😂
