Susan my sympathies are with you. My mum had more come backs than Frank Sinatra! It's such a roller coaster

Good morning everyone. After 2 appalling nights sleep I slept for 8 hours solid last night. Just as well as we have a very early start at 3:30am on Thursday to go to Bristol Airport on Thursday for an 11 night holiday in Crete. I’ve done no packing
yet.
School pickup yesterday. GS2 found my hair cutting scissors when he was here overnight on Saturday as I found 2 locks of hair under my dressing table stool yesterday. There was also an unidentified pink substance on the shower mat. Luckily he has very thick hair so it doesn’t really notice.
Best wishes for your DH today Dragonfly.💐I hope your DD is feeling better very soon Gingster. Have a good journey to France Ash.
Enjoy the very chilly sun if you have it.
grannygravy my DH and I used to go to Hyde Hall regularly as there’s always something new to see there. I didn’t have time to go for a walk yesterday but as usual spent quite a lot in the shop! They had the 2027 diaries on display!
I’m a member and must make the effort to go more frequently, I’m looking forward to seeing the new rose rope walk.
Good morning from Shropshire.A bright start.
I was woken by a message from my DD at 8.I am very grateful for a good nights sleep as I have been another full of anxiety about family members and not sleeping well.
Mum was good when we arrived but then went downhill rapidly before our eyes.We are prepared to go back today but she always pulls back from these awful episodes.I know one day she won’t.I had a call a few minutes ago from the nurse who was on duty yesterday to say she has slept since we left so will await developments.
I hope you got parked ok dragonfly and that your husband’s scan goes well with good results 🙏🏻
Latedecember your mentions of Llangefni and Moelfre bring back many memories. My grandma had a holiday cottage a couple of little bays away from Moelfre. We used to spend the whole of the school holidays there and would sail our little mirror dinghy round to Moelfre.Last year my DD’s took us there for a few days for my birthday. My parents must have been very laid back letting us put out to sea as children!!
Safe travels to all on the move.
Thinking of all with worries and struggles and wishing everyone the best day possible🦩🌷
Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s nippy out. Dry at present with some welcome sunshine but rain is forecast this afternoon.
I need to arrange some annual travel insurance for myself this morning and order some euros on line from the post office. Himself always did this for both of us. I have to sort this myself now of course.
I have a dental check up this afternoon and need to pop into the larder as the cupboards are looking pretty empty!
Morning all from Kew.
The sky is blue but it feels chilly.
When I’ve dropped granddaughter off at school I’ll get the tube to the V&A. I can have a full day there as she has science group after school so won’t need picking up until after 4 pm. I’m taking her to Pizza Express for dinner.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from a chilly but Bright S E Essex
The Imp has gone to school, he requested scrambled eggs and toast followed by yoghurt, so that is what he had.
I have a telephone appointment with an orthopaedic consultant this afternoon, regarding my knee after my accident last year. I have been waiting for 16 months for a face to face appointment, but hey ho, I will remain optimistic.
I must iron the bedding and have another sort through my clothes before taking bags to charity.
Oh Redcar I adore Hyde Hall, worth every penny nor my RHS membership. My favourite part is right at the top, where the bees are, so tranquil and usually very few people. The rose walk is glorious and fragrant. I cannot remember ever coming out of their shop empty handed…
Sending (((hugs)))
Good morning from sunny Cornwall. There's a lovely breeze wafting across my bed from my open window. I don't usually lie in but am enjoying the delights of a new duvet. Shopping for one was an education yesterday. I didn't know 1 tog duvets existed! They're like a slice of cloud! Mine's a 10.5. I'm sure you wanted to know that. 😀 I had lunch in Wetherspoons in another town, washed down by a pint of ale.
Today I'm at my daughter-in-law's new home again, maybe on painting duty but otherwise much chatting and biscuit-eating.

Good morning from a chilly brightening northwest coast.
By train into Manchester yesterday with two friends for a Banksy exhibition. Not my favourite ‘art’, but I went along for the company and a lunch. The exhibition certainly made me think, but was not uplifting, appropriately taking place in a massive warehouse in the city centre. I couldn’t get warm all day and one friend was wearing open toed sandals, which I couldn’t contemplate, even all my layers didn’t help.
The lunch at Carluccio’s was very disappointing. My main course was very small and not very hot. I complained and got a full refund.
We had delayed trains coming home, the line has a bad reputation and at one point we dashed to another platform, got on the assigned train, then ordered off and back to the original platform for another lengthy wait. All rather tiring. I came home, had a bite to eat, showered and went straight to bed.
I’ve sent a couple of parcels ordered through Amazon, by mistake to a friend of my daughter’s, so must collect them. One is a Viking helmet I’m using in an opera concert for a comic song “I want to sing in opera”. You may have seen the brilliant Patricia Routledge sing it on the Michael Parkinson show.
Lunch today by train into Liverpool with my cousin before he flies back to America. He played football for Manchester United and made his debut with George Best, but has led a quieter life. He’s now a sports commentator on tv there. Ill take some family old family photos and docuyhe may not have seen. I’ll be glad to be at home tomorrow, with just a rehearsal in the evening.
Thoughts to all and hope you have the best day you can💕
Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is 8°C, with rain forecast.
DH proved to be very difficult yesterday. I heard a noise, while I was getting ready, he was cutting the grass. 😱
I went out to ask him, what he was doing and what his BP was. He hadn't done it!
He would take it when HE decided to do it. I knew then it would be high, going by his attitude. There is a correlation between how high his BP is and his behaviour.😪
I came out the front door, only to trip over a cable, trailing over the steps. 🤬
I'm afraid to say, I had a bit of a wobble at church. I was very tearful, feeling a bit overwhelmed, battling my own ill health, with no support and dealing with DH.
In the afternoon, we visited the plant nursery, which is out in the country.
The air is so clean. It was so relaxing, wandering through the plants and trees.
DH got his precious double headed begonias and I got my leeks and early cabbage. When we got to the checkout, I mentioned to the owner, that I had to search for my loyalty card, I hadn't used it for ages.
She asked if I had been receiving my special offer emails. It dawned on me, they must have gone to my NTL account, which not even Virgin Media can access.
Looking at our overly full, barrow, she didn't charge us for some items.
We must have saved about £20. A successful day.
On the way home, we stopped at B&M for compost. I suggested DH pay for it and come and meet me in the outdoor section.
I started to get anxious (my ongoing mental state), when DH didn't appear back.
I went to look for him and noticed the queue for the checkout was snaking down the shop.
Of course, it was DH causing havoc. His card had been declined. His PIN had been requested and he got all flustered. He ended up paying cash. Why?
I was trying to catch his attention, for me to pay. He was oblivious.
Of course, it was all the assistant's fault. She was usless.
I did pick up tomato plants ( which will be going in the greenhouse) and strawberry plants to fill some gaps in my
planters.
The tomto plants wouldn't last a minute outside.
A successful, if stressful day.
Today, I am going to Silverburn, I need a break and time to myself.
Also, I need to pop into church to water the flowers. The florist and her helper are both on holiday.
Dragonfly, best wishes for today.
Bella, thank you for reminding me of the name of the restaurant, it was annoying me.
The last time we were there, a film was being made. All very exciting!
Safe journey, Georgesgran.♥️
Wishing you all the best day, possible.
Good morning from another chilly and dull start to the day in Suffolk. I’m off to Norwich this morning to meet a friend who lives on the Norfolk coast so Norwichnis a good place for us to meet.
We have booked on a tour of Carrow House which I’d the former home of the Coleman family of mustard fame. The tour was recommended by another friend of mine whose daughter is getting married there in the summer.
Having been owned and occupied for many years by Norfolk County Council, the whole complex is run by a charitable organisation now and has various enterprises within it. It seems an excellent use of a magnificent Hall, outbuildings and lavish gardens.
So sorry Gingster to hear that your DD is unwell again and the anxiety that causes for all the family. I hope she feels better soon. Hoping that all have a good day especially those not feeling their best.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is cold and the sun can’t make its mind up. There doesn’t appear to be any rain in the forecast.
I decided to keep my chiropractic appointment yesterday and followed it up with a walk in a local park with some lovely landscaping and beautiful rhododendrons in full flower. I came home to find carnage on the back lawn where a sparrowhawk had had one of the resident pigeons. His mate was looking for him last night. When this happens, the garden goes very quiet as no other birds come near for a while.
School this afternoon. I haven’t decided whether to walk yet.
Have the best day you can, folks.
Morning, 4 in S Hants and sunny, yesterday we had the lot including showers. It was my voluntary phone day but I was rather off, very tired, so I must finish it off today.
MrJ might be playing bowls this evening, he’s reserve, it would be nice to get more notice.
After I’ve caught up from yesterday I’ll get a chicken casserole in the slow cooker and move dust.
Happy travel Georgesgran smashing picture baubles.
🦩🦩
Safe journey to France, Ashcombe
Good morning from a chilly Northumberland. Our temporary home while the decorator transforms our permanent one. It won’t be a dramatic transformation because the colour isn’t changing.
My friend joined us before bedtime so we ended up having a very late night so I’m tired already! I must ignore that though and get up as an early trip to Lindisfarne is planned before the causeway becomes impassable.
Thinking of all with cares worries and ill health. Take care
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a bright sunny start to the day, chilly here too and windy
Happy Birthday to your DH Monk enjoy the celebrations!
I really enjoyed my weekend with the Cambridge family, it’s always good to see them all. Thanks for your kind messages, my journey home was fine with just a short delay with the flight. Today I’ve a volunteering session this morning, but nothing else planned for the rest of the day. I’ll catch up on the washing and probably potter a bit in the garden
Lovely picture Baubles
Safe travels Ash and enjoy your time together in France
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Good morning Mick and everyone from damp, grey and gloomy Carlisle where it is 8°C currently. It sounds very pleasant in Malta, I should have stayed there!
Yesterday I just did the usual Monday bed changing and laundry, then some admin. I walked to the post box and round the Pond after lunch, not as far as usual as I don't want a return of the kidney infection which seems to be lying low at the moment.
Today, various little jobs to be done before my visitors arrive later in the week, they are doing a walk currently. Sadly, the weather isn't going to be the best for them.
I read an article in my paper about the amount of clothes the average woman has, 118 I think it was and I believe that included knickers! What!! I have over 50 pairs of those, and then there's my sweater and t-shirt addiction. Right, well it's time to get tough, very tough. Problem is, these items are mostly fine for wearing round the house but I think a charity shop won't want them. However, my wardrobes and drawers are stuffed so something is going to be done...when the visitors have departed.
I hope some of you will be enjoying sun somewhere but have a good day everyone.
Good morning all. Bright but chilly here in Essex too.
We have youngest DGD here with us , I expect for a few days.Dd only said to me last week ‘I’ve been really well for two months’ and now she’s crashed again. Bellasnanna I’m sure we weren’t such a worry to our parents.
The twin grandsons came over with dg’s overnight bag and stayed to chat for a while. Such lovely young men who I am proud of. Bella it is fascinating having twins. 👬
Today I’m due to go to Bridge. DD’s friend will do school pick up and bring her back here to keep her Gaga company unt8l I get home.
Not being able to drive (atm) is such a nuisance, although I’m determined to ‘get used to it’.
Karma I’m not looking forward to the forecasted El Niño this summer 🥵. I’d rather this bright weather with a bit of a chill.
Take care all. Trouble free journeys for those on the move. 🌺
Good morning all from the Black country where the sun is shining.
DH is 76 today I think he wants to go clothes shopping and we have a meal booked for later, will be out with family tomorrow.
I have ironing would like to get done but not that important that it can't wait.
Best wishes to anyone else who may be celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Have the best day you can everyone whatever your plans and may you all find a little bit of ☀️.
Good morning from a sunny W Kent. I am going to try and get my hair cut this morning, later a U3A monthly meeting with a talk about the Chelsea Flower Show.
Best wishes
Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton, but chilly enough for my heating to come on.
Covid jab done yesterday, but have a sore and red arm this morning. I walked all the way to the Royal Mail depot after that to pick up my underpaid package only to find they were closed Monday afternoons! I have now paid the fee on line and it should be delivered tomorrow.
Then got the bus to the town centre to change the nightdress I bought on Saturday for a larger size. While in store my eye was caught by a set of pretty summer-themed coasters, so treated myself.
A few tasks to do around the house this morning, followed by an early lunch, and then out to join my walking group. Will need to wrap up warm I think! I need to put some stir-fry beef into a marinade ready to cook later for dinner.
Wishing all a pleasant Tuesday.
Good morning . It’s chilly here in N. Bucks too.
Yesterday I warmed myself up by doing some baking, lemon drizzle, 2 Victoria sponges and some millionaires shortbread.
We will be visiting a large warehouse later this morning and then I have WI knitting group this afternoon.
I also have as card to make for a wedding on Saturday.
Wishing all a good day.
Good morning all from North Leicestershire. It looks decidedly more ominous here that it did for dragonfly.
We were successful in finding DGD2 a small birthday present yesterday so that can be ticked off.
My new curry recipe was very bland and I threw the the part intended for freezing in the bin.
Today, DH has a blood test and a dental check up while I have choir and then a visit to one of the village cafes with most of the choir. My day sounds better than DH's.
Have the best day possible everyone.
grandMattie I wish I could send you some of our sunshine. It does make life so much easier.
Also, my late mother-in-law used to say , in Maltese so roughly translated, “when they are small they make your head ache, when they are grown they make your heart ache”.
