Not really sure I like it. A tangle of bare legs is not very dignified.
It’s the kind of family holiday snap that I’d only want to show to close friends and family.

Is it just me?

I think it is a lovely photo of them all. So good that they let us see their children’s faces too.

Lorra lorra legs!🦵🦵🦵 Nice pic.

MartavTaurus Thu 30-Apr-26 07:35:44

Oh, I forgot to say, even the dog looks like its having fun!

I agree with Merlotgran as well, the angle of the photo is strange, it’s hard to tell who the legs belong to and is altogether
too relaxed for a good public photo.
There’s a middle way between the usual stuffed shirt look and this one imo.

A happy relaxed family having fun together. Lovely photo.

MartavTaurus Thu 30-Apr-26 07:32:56

It's not the best composition for a photo, I agree, but my eyes are drawn to the happy faces and the interaction in their eyes.

Lovely fun happy family photo but agree with Merlotgran.

Lovely happy family photo, far better than a set piece posed studio shot

nexus63 Thu 30-Apr-26 07:05:32

why should they have a posed photo rather than a fun family photo, they are a mum and dad with the kids doing something normal for a change, george not having to wear a suit, charlotte not having to be in a suitable dress with her hair nice, they don't get many days that they can just kick back and roll around having fun. they might be the future king and queen, but they are parents who have kids that grow up so fast.

I just thought what nice legs they all have.

And this from a family who insist that their priority is to preserve their children’s privacy

No, that’s the Montecito pair.

Calendargirl Thu 30-Apr-26 06:40:23

Personally, I wasn’t too keen on it.

It seemed at such an odd angle.

They are, however, an extremely good looking and photogenic family.

Why an anniversary photo? Well, 15 years is a nice round number, and I expect they want to rejoice in their family and (hopefully) Catherine’s return to health.

I think it is meant to be an antidote to the carefully posed, formal, studio family photo where everyone looks as though they have been stuffed.

It's just another publicity shot.

Yes, it is yet another publicity shot, and using their children as part of the publicity. There are several of these publicity shots a year. And this from a family who insist that their priority is to preserve their children's privacy.

It's rather an oddly posed photo. Catherine's 2 boys bare legs look as though they are hers and now I have seen them I can't unsee it.
I would rather a sitting up photo., but I doubt if they care what I think!
Those years have flown by well this week has flown by and we are almost 6 months through this year.
I have liked what Camilla has worn this week to go off on a tangent. Sorry.

Beautiful family photo and how kind of them to share, just when we need a morale boost

vegansrock Thu 30-Apr-26 06:23:34

It’s an ok photo but why the need to release “ an anniversary photo”?

notgran Thu 30-Apr-26 06:18:42

A happy family photo, what's not to like?

CocoPops Thu 30-Apr-26 05:31:21

Nice dog

Rockinggrandma - so sorry - oh gosh that’s really sad flowers

It's just another publicity shot.

Definitely just you ..... My daughter died due to breast cancer at 38 leaving a husband and two small children, what I'd give for such a photo .... Makes no difference they're royals, it's a happy family photo.

So, so sorry for your loss, RockingGrandma.

There was a similar photo some time back - on a picnic? Or am I imagining things ?
