Well said!

Whilst many of us want the boats to stop, for different reasons, I’ve heard zero about the “how” from Reform!

Cossy Tue 14-Apr-26 08:18:14

It won’t matter, because if anyone is silly enough to vote them in and they get overall control of any other councils they’ll bankrupt them all! Those running have zero experience in running anything.

If anyone does support them - and lots of people must do - I’m really keen to know why they support reform, and also how do they manage to reconcile their vote with Reforms corruption, incompetence and mediocrity, and support of Trump, Putin, Orban and other far right politicians throughout Europe.

Those who support Reform are the knuckle draggers who really believe that Farage will stop the boats the moment he crosses the threshold at No 10.

I agree with what everyone has said so far.
We don’t want a Trump or Oban running our country, is bad enough that they have seats in Parliament.

Yes!!

No they need to take a long jump, they are vile, misogynist, far right, racist and a huge blot on our country, they could give me a million pounds and I d still never feel different.

What have State Pensions got to do with LOCAL elections?

Absolutely nothing!

If people of pensionable age want to vote in their best interest in local elections, they should be asking questions about how Reform would fund adult social care and services such as local transport and libraries, which tend to be used more by older people.

Cossy Tue 14-Apr-26 08:14:56

Absolutely not! No, I would not vote for them if they were the only party!

ronib Tue 14-Apr-26 08:12:45

I should spoil my ballot paper with None of the above. Does that count? WWM2

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 14-Apr-26 08:11:10

Why on earth would I consider voting for Reform!? A bunch of trump supporting charlatans.

Magenta8 Tue 14-Apr-26 08:08:24

Do they really think that all pensioners care about is their pensions? While it is important to have enough money to be able to eat and heat, there are other issues.

No not a vote for Reform WWM2. Most likely not going to vote. What is the point?

Using you long fought for democratic right to vote?

Reform are dreadful and I would never vote for them 🤮. Also, the triple lock is unaffordable and shouldn’t stay. I might vote for a party that has the guts to say that

Fallingstar Tue 14-Apr-26 07:41:24

* a monkey not monkeys

Fallingstar Tue 14-Apr-26 07:40:53

I think is a terrible shame that Farage is targeting pensioners believing we will be selfish enough to simply vote for him based upon keeping the triple lock and throw the rest of the country under the bus. Am hoping the majority of pensioners will see through this and not prove to the younger generation that we don’t give a monkeys about their futures.

Parliament has been downgraded under Starmer. Power is moving away from established principles. It’s no longer necessary for MPs to vote before we, as a country, realign with Europe.
If this continues, party affiliation will become irrelevant and redundant.

Is that a vote for Reform?

If so I genuinely am puzzled why?

People say they support Reform because
They want change
They tell it like it is

Or else they ignore any questions about why they support Reform.

All of the above!

mumofmadboys Tue 14-Apr-26 07:00:12

Reform appall and sadden me. Could never ever vote for them

Sarnia Tue 14-Apr-26 06:39:19

They are promising that in the hopes that they will get our vote. Well, they won't get mine, no matter what carrot they dangle in front of me.
