Thank you for the group hug Pittcity and condolences to SueD. A sombre kitchen tonight. DGC are here for the night and DGD wants to learn how to crotchet. The expression “she’s like a cow with a spanner “ comes to mind …
Baggs I don't call into the kitchen often so have only just heard the news about dear Soop and am so sorry. My condolences to Mr Soop and the family.
You have been such a good friend to her over the years, Baggs.
I do often wonder if our paths crossed very many years ago when we had our first babies in the same hospital, something which I have not forgotten. I like to think we did, she was such a wonderful person.
I’m watching the landing of the spacecraft Artemis 2 and remembering watching this when I was so much younger. It was still as exciting to me. I would love to have done that.
I have had some good news this week but have been a little hesitant to mention it. A few years ago my Hb1Ac (blood sugar measurement) was 42 which is classed as pre-diabetic. On Wednesday bloods were taken for the usual regular tests and on Thursday my GP texted me to say my Hb1Ac is now 37, completely normal and no longer pre diabetic. And she said “Well done!” It has really given me a boost after recent struggles.
I've had a quiet day. Housework done and bed stripped, washed sheets etc and remade. I also washed floors. The tesco delivery came and the lovely man and I had a chat about cars as he spotted i had a new one. Tomorrow I will clean windows and make soup, roast a gammon, make cauliflower cheese and bake a pineapple upside down cake. That's the plan! I wish you all a lovely Saturday evening
Well done everyone - some positive stories at the end of a sad week. We had the DGC last night and I started to teach DGD to crotchet. She’s getting there but it may be a while! 🤣
