Wednesday - Egg, ham & chips
Thursday - pork or lamb chops & vegs
Friday - Fish
Saturday
Winter - chicken and jacket pots
Summer - Dad’s barbque
We don’t have any dish on a particular day and have a much bigger range of foods, my DM didn’t cook anything she didn’t like and she didn’t like very much haha, no cheese dishes, no sauces, no rice, no foreign food of any type.
Her only exception was she did cook cabbage as it was mine and my DD favourite.
She was a good plain cook and would also make desserts at the weekends, apple pie, apple crumble, milk jelly, sherry Trifle (only special occasions), flans and lemon meringue pie!
