The buds are ready on the Magnolia, bulbs are shooting up and snowdrops are nearly out!

So dark this morning- and foggy and dull outside. Thank God for Christmas.

What is so good is how quickly plants start to respond to the extra light.

I must make lists of things to do in the garden and greenhouse. It starts slowly and speeds up as the weeks slide past.

Oh no, because it has been such a wet autumn, we haven't put our garden 'to bed' yet!

Mind you, we have January and February yet to come, who knows what the weather will be like? 🌨❄

It is the date of my parents’ Wedding. They got rude remarks at their Reception about it being the longest night etc etc !

Thank goodness! It was so dark this morning despite being dry!
I have pre-ordered my summer plants (Tidal Wave Petunia and Osteospermum ) to cheer myself up, roll on spring!
