Good morning Mick and everyone from damp, dark Carlisle. It is 12 degrees warmer than it was only 2 days ago!
Yesterday I finally got out for a walk. The Pond was amusing...all the birds appeared to be standing on the water but the water was actually only a thin layer above ice, there were very few ice-free areas. I hope they are managing to feed.
Today I must get into town to harry Boots, they have had my prescription for a few days but haven't messaged me to say it's ready. The problem is that it's for steroids which I have been told are dangerous to stop taking suddenly. It's worrying, this happened before Christmas too when I only managed to get them on the way to the station when going away.
Back home, I will tackle the laundry and maybe the vacuuming, then, in the afternoon, I should finish one of my books. It's a Penguin classic, a delightful book of Christmas-themed short stories by various authors.
Best wishes for your op grandMattie.
And Whiff I hope you're soon home, well again and posting.
Have a good day everyone.
