Stockings/Tights

I wear evil elasticated tights, they come from Boots. There appears to be two manufacturers, one makes nice long legged ones….the other much shorter ones. The short ones go south with movement! Not easy to walk effectively hobbled….

Yes, I wear tights when I’m wearing dresses and skirts and when it’s too cold to go bare legged. I have sheers from M&S and opaques in navy black and green from Seasalt. They are toasty warm.

Hate tights and stockings, usually wear trousers/jeans and socks, am not a dress or skirt person but if I do wear them I do it in warmer weather and have bare legs.

I sometimes wear tights under jeans & socks when it's really cold, especially if I'm sitting at a PC for ages.Really makes a difference. I never really got on with hold up stockings, always felt as though the were slipping down even if they weren't. I hated the American Tan tights but the fine skin coloured tights for summer wear now are a lot more natural -looking.

I’d definitely wear opaque or knitted tights if I could shed a few stones and be able to wear a dress again.
At school - we were allowed to wear stockings in 4th year on - Aristoc Grosvenor. We darned them as they were a small fortune to us back in the ‘60s.

I wear trousers all the time now, so either bare feet, knee-high pop socks or proper wool socks in Winter.

Black thermal tights for me. Hate having cold legs.

I wear opaque tights all the time in the winter with winter dresses and skirts. They are warm and cosy.

Tights were invented for the 1960's mini skirts I guess. I wore them for years. Now I mostly wear trousers so socks will do, or calf-length skirts so knee-highs will do. I prefer socks cos the "nylon" in knee-highs make my feet sweat.

I wore stockings originally, with a suspender belt. It dug in my hips and the suspenders were uncomfortable.

I was delighted when tights became available while I was in my teens. However, they were uncomfortable if they had a single seam crotch rather than a gusset and often slipped down.

These days I wear hold-ups if I need to - always a larger size so that they pull up to the tops of my legs. However, if I can get away with it, I usually wear pop socks (and long skirts). I wouldn't go back to tights now.
