I agree, she just looks so artificial!

That she is a bright and clever lady, and a great presenter is not in dispute, she also spoke eloquently and supportingly about the menopause and was much appreciated.

Each to their own! Wouldn't be the best look if me & with her looks, I'm just old fashioned & spent yrs wearing styles to make behind look smaller!! 😂😁 now you pay a lot of money for that! 🤔 I wonder if large stuck out bottoms will go back out of fashion!?

It never ceases to amaze me the number of women who go out of their way to criticise other women for the way they look, and how they dress.
Women are being sidelined out of our lives, our work, our sports, and our spaces; we should be standing shoulder to shoulder.

Hardly going out of our way, this thread invites our thoughts on a dress worn by a well known woman in public.
I like the dress and how Carol looks but defend anyone’s right to think the opposite and to criticise. This goes for Angela Rayner and her trouser suit as well, which I thought was awful.
All this ‘sister’ stuff is silly.I’m equally happy to like or to critique what any man in the public eye is wearing.

Looks elegant on Clare Sweeney and completely different on
Carol Vorderman. In general do not like the clothes she wears, seems her role in life is to flaunt her figure but lets face it she has a lovely hour glass figure and it's up to her what she wears. This is a lot more subtle than some of the things she wears.

I didn’t watch the show, and can’t get the video to load, so haven’t seen the silver dress. The spotty dress looks good on Carol, would look dreadful on me though. Which is okay because I don’t like it anyway, it’s not my cup of tea. But I think it’s a good dress for the red carpet, because it’s quite glamorous, but doesn’t rely on being barely there to get attention, so I think she chose well.

Not that she cares what I think.

Carol knows what she is doing (I don't mean that in any way snide). This is show biz and we are not the target audience.

I've never really understood what other people mean by 'aging gracefully'. Does it just mean you accept you're getting wrinkly, saggy skin and live with it? Or does it mean you make the best of what you've got to look as good as you can?

For me, aging gracefully means acceptance that you are older, nothing wrong with making the very best of your natural assets, wearing make up, choosing flattering dresses, going to the gym, colouring your hair, having your nails done, but once one crosses the surgical line it seems to become addictive, look at Katie Price, or the poor young women who end up totally botched and even dead!

Is not malicious, honestly, but I just feel she was naturally very attractive and didn’t need surgery etc. to stay looking good.

Of course woman should stick together, but if you’re in the public eye strutting your stuff then comments will be made.
