Not wishing this on you but my dishwasher and hob went on the fritz the same day and my Lap top is on its last legs.

TV, washing machine and electric on armchair all in the last few months. I expect my IPad maybe next….

Slightly different, but I always think things tend to happen in threes.

In the last three weeks I have had a flat battery, got a parking ticket and mislaid my debit card in Tesco. Whoever found it went to straight to the cash point and withdrew £250 x 2. I did eventually manage to get it refunded.

For me on Friday, my 3 things
1. In the morning my TV broke
2. At breakfast I pulled a plate from the cupboard and two others toppled out and smashed on file.
3. My son was coming to take me for lunch, as he rang doorbell I realised I needed my sunglasses that were upstairs. I ran up in heeled sandals came down cleaning them slipped on a step and fell to the bottom in a crumpled heap. Spent afternoon in MIU have two badly sprained ankles both in splints. I feel lucky they didn’t break!

Did a 3rd thing break?

At the start of the year we had a succession of things breaking.

First our new electric car broke down. Then the washing machine had to be replaced. Then the door fell of the dishwasher. Then the downstairs toilet started to leak. Then the oven went on the blink on Christmas Eve. All in the space of about three weeks over Christmas and the New Year.

At the end of January the car broke down again and we didn't see it again until March. Hopefully we've now had our fair share. Can't really count the fence because that's been falling down for about a year.

But how did the finder know your PIN? Surely, you're not using 1234 or, heaven forbid, writing it on the card?

Last week I loss my debit card was sent a replacement which I then left in the machine in Aldi. I rushed straight back and thankfully it had been handed in.
This week so far I put my relatively new mobile in the washer by mistake obviously. My DH let me use his mobile I dropped and cracked the screen next day I am wondering what’s next!

So I’m glad it was the dishwasher - I don’t mind washing up for a few days, but doing all the laundry by hand - no thanks!
