First we had the teddy boys, then the Beatles haircut shocked the older generation when it came along, followed by the long haired hippie look and the skinheads.
But the Peaky Blinders haircut is so UGLY and does nothing to enhance a young man's appearance. Then we have the sleeve tattoos and shaven heads, they are all gross. I'm so thankful not to be a young woman today because I wouldn't fancy the young men at all. I find shaven heads, tattoos and piercings all deeply unattractive.
It's just another fashion / style though.
Perhaps the reason some of us don't like the 'Peaky Blinders' cut is because it looks a bit brutal?
When you see shaved heads or very close-cut hair, I think it reminds us older generation of armies, schools, institutions, etc, where the first prerequisite on entering them - appeared to be a haircut.
Possibly.
My step-son calls it "the military haircut"!
As for tattoos, it obviously appeals to an awful lot of people who see it quite differently - as body-art. So from that perspective, I understand it, but I don't like it either. However, some of the nicest, kindest people I've met are covered in ink!
