Unintentional De-Cluttering.

Bad luck MOnica, but one less thing to pack.

My unintentional declutter was putting my favourite trowel in the garden bin and only realising after it had been emptied - I had to replace it of course, so no actual decluttering.

I did something similar today I took a pretty blue and white bowl filled with artificial flowers off the window sill, ready to pack it for a move, when it fell through my nerveless fingers and shattered on the tiled floor.

Bad luck, Calendar girl, I hate that to happen too. I think our grandparents would have bought things to 'last' and expect to hand them on, but have been relaxed about odd breakages.

It’s a shame isn’t it when you have looked after them for so long.

I’m of the opinion now that I will use things all of the time whether they are family heirlooms or not. No one in our family will want them after I’m gone, so I use them and if they break I don’t get upset about it.

I’ve never bought anything with the thought that it will still be around in a hundred years time. I wonder if our grandparents did?
