Good morning from East Lothian. The heavy drapes are still closed over so I’ve no idea what the weather is doing.

When DD booked this she obviously told them that it was for my birthday. The management left a gift of a lovely candle in our suite and surprised me with a selection of delicious chocolates with our after dinner coffee.

If it’s dry we will go for a wander around the nearby town.

Karma you are so talented. Mattie your new church must be so grateful for your move.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It is dry today so far. My new front door is being installed so I hope it stays fine.
Yesterday the rain was really heavy so the drive back from the Peak District was challenging.
It’s book club later if the door is sorted in time.
As I’m going to be in for the morning I’ll get some washing on.
Thoughts to all the poorlies and those having a tricky time.

We had a lovely day yesterday with old friends. So today I must do a Waitrose shop as the cupboard is nearly bare. I have a list of admin to do too. OH has his long term conditions review today - mine will be in April. We are both out this evening at different things. OH at his shooting club and me at a friend’s house. Have a good day everyone. I am thinking of those of you with worries.

Good morning from Colchester where it's dark, damp and 8°. It's forecast to be cloudy and the temperature will drop as the day goes on.
Tuesday is charity shop volunteering day. I'll pick up a meal deal in Tesco Express on the walk in as DH has used the last of the bread making his lunch for his day of fishing.
I'll buy bread and salad from Sainsbury's on the way home. Lasagne tonight.

I too am in awe of your needle 🪡 skills Karmalady - I rarely sew for pleasure these days. It’s more by need of hemming or altering a sales bargain, zip replacement or I’m just too tight to buy something that I can rustle up in a couple of hours for a quarter of the price - like my silk pillowcases!

Some of you commented yesterday on my upcoming cruise and I’ve taken the liberty of opening a new thread so that Mick’s GM isn’t sidetracked 😉 All info welcomed x

Good morning from Cornwall where it's dry and mild with sun forecast. My son-in-law was admitted to hospital yesterday for tests so depending on how long he'll be in I may shoot off to Liverpool to keep my daughter company. I can go at a moment's notice. The plumber's coming tomorrow but he can let himself in if I'm not around.

Today I'm with my prayer friend this morning and will set about moving my freezer after that for said plumber. It needs to be relocated so that he has room to work and he's a big, burly bloke! Likes his pasties I reckon. 😊

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark, dry corner of Somerset. A cloudy day is forecast.

Mr C slept most of the afternoon after being pushed hard in the final cardiac rehab session. His BP had remained steady delighting him and the physios, I’m quietly proud of his determination to be as well as he can be. My afternoon was spent working through my ever growing list of little things.

Eye test for Mr C this morning then with luck a sea front walk, some dust removal later. Nothing exciting, rather a quiet, routine sort of a day.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

I arrived to babysit the boys before 7am to find they were already up and breakfasted. They are now playing but I foresee an early nap!

Good morning, it’s dry here in south Glos at the moment.
Yesterday we went to Westonbirt, had a long, wandering walk and actually did nearly 4 miles! The dog loved it too. We didn’t have coffee there because quite frankly the coffee is not good and the food is very expensive and not particularly tasty. A shame really because it’s such a lovely place, they seem to be ignoring the reviews.
I think they’ve changed the catering company because it used to be delicious food and coffee- the cheese scones were legendary. We’ll take our own refreshments in future.
Today I want to do some drawing and try to finish sock#1, I’m really rather pleased with this one, it’s two colours.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1° and looks damp out. GrandMattie toddlers en masse are a fearful bunch! Karma I'm in awe of your sewing ability.
Yesterday was fine and dgs2 was his sunny self mostly. However the nursery phoned me to pick up dgs1 who was decidedly miserable. Both boys slept for two hours in the afternoon.
This morning I have woken up with a headache and sore throat again so the virus is still lurking. What we do depends on whether dgs1 goes to nursery or not. Have a good day all

A visit to the dental hygienist this morning means I can’t go to Props today. She is peripatetic and only visits my practice on a Tuesday. Afterwards, I’ll take the opportunity to visit the nearby car wash. My car will be grateful - it’s been a while!

Good morning from s somerset and the best drying day for the week is today, sunny and lower humidity and a bit cooler to go with the lovely day

I have a full heavy wash on, my whirly is out and up and roll on outside drying at last

Fab day yesterday, my mode was forget the housework and so I made two oiled canvas totes with linings, inner pocket and leather handles. They were so lovely to do, thanks to my vintage machine, which chugs steadily stitch after stitch. I sew these in my living room and have no need of radio or noise.

I cleaned up and oiled my machine and was tidied by 2.30 after an 8am start. That machine is a beautiful thing, the machine I could only have dreamt of in the 70s. A bernina record 930, which I can routine service myself. I hope the last owner knows that her well-loved machine is safe in my hands

Enough of waxing lyrical over a mechanical thing. Today, no plans but I will not be letting the sun go to waste

Good morning from a dry Bristol. It’s less mild today.
Yesterday was quiet; I’ve been recovering from the partying….
The toddler group is remarkably popular, some 30 mothers come. The noise can be horrendous. Little organisation is required. When I can, I prepare some crafty thing for the little ones; the mums enjoy their time with others.
Today, I’ve got some oranges to marmalade. It’s proving very popular but I am limited by season and the number (and quality) of jars that I am given.
My thoughts and prayers to all who need it; may today be kind to them.
