Welcome, dear Kitcheners. Enjoy the new kitchen and, once again, thank you all for helping to make it a very special place.
and a huge group hug.

Aww, Urms, we're all here for you and Himself in Soop's supportive kitchen. Thinking of you both, sending love and prayers. 💕🙏
Always in our hearts Urms 🩷
Thinking of you Urms, and sending love. xx
Thinking of you *Urms, and sending love.
Just seen your message Urms. I’m thinking of you both.
A busy but good day up here in Inverness, it’s been cold and raining all day but at least it’s not snow.
Hoping your DGS can settle a bit easier tonight Yia it must have been so scary for him
I got myself back to the gym, it was hard work but I felt good afterwards. I didn’t join the falling over gang thankfully but one of the ladies fell when getting off the treadmill, so easily done poor thing but it really shook her up, and us too. She’s very experienced so it just goes to show it can happen to anyone. She’s ok but hurt her shoulder quite badly 🥲
On a brighter note DGD is here for her regular Wednesday sleepover. I wasn’t sure if she’d be coming tonight as it’s still the school holidays but she wanted to come as usual. We’ve played a few games of Uno, she’s watched some TV and had two bowls of leek and potato soup. The little poppet has just gone through to bed now and DH is reading her a story. You made me laugh grandmabatty with your DGSs antics, it’s often the same here when they creep out of bed to see what we’re doing!
Well done with your weight Jax it’s not easy I know especially at this time of year. Good luck with the quiz tonight - hope you smash it
Oh goodness. I do hope you don’t all think I was attention seeking. It truly wasn’t my intention. My emotions just spilled out. I’m slightly embarrassed now for making such a fuss. Apologies. I cried (silent). tears just now in the bathroom because the radio was on in there. Dried my eyes and took two paracetamol. I feel easier now.
Thank you everyone for your kindness. I obviously wear my heart on my sleeve and need to Get a Grip better.
x
Oh Urms we’re all here for you, you weren’t making a fuss at all, just explaining how you feel ❤️
No one, not anyone would think that you were attention seeking Urms, not for a single moment. Better to vent among friends, take all the hugs you can get, cry when you need to then dry those eyes x
Oh Urms if you can’t let your emotions show amongst friends, when can you? You’ll always find solace in the Kitchen. Xxx
Big hugs Urms 🌹
Urms sending you a big hug from me too. I suddenly burst into tears when talking to the ward sister in hospital about DH yesterday. I got a big cuddle. Nice but I felt so embarrassed later. You and your DH in my prayers 💕
Urms, much better wearing your heart on your sleeve than keeping it in a bottle!
Sending you love, Urms.
Never hesitate to tell us how you feel. Nobody thinks that you’re attention seeking… just human 🤗
I seem to have accomplished a fair bit today. I collected my prescription from the Health Centre and then called into the Vet to pick up Milo and Ripley’s de-flea. £45 each, but it lasts for three months. I made tonight’s dinner straight after lunch. Shepherds Pie made with Sunday’s leftover leg of lamb. It is one of the few meals I have seconds off. I left instructions (written on the blackboard in the kitchen) for OH to put it in the oven ready for when I got back from my WI committee meeting. The meeting went well with no arguing!
Have a good night everyone.
I’ve just got in from quiz.
Urms you’re walking the toughest road, you’ll falter, take the hugs and love to help you on your way xx
Dear Urms I think of you often and don’t think you are making a fuss at all. You articulate the feelings that many of us live with.
Hugs for Urmstongran & Doodle & anyone else who needs one.
"That's what friends are for", x
Grandmadinosaur Rafa is my favourite tennis player. He is a gentleman and charming AND gorgeous with it.
Naughtyneine Your lovely comment (together with others from many Kitcheners) made my day. Thank you.
Dearest Urms, us lot care for you. PLEASE share whatsoever you wish to. I believe that opening up one's heart, is the BEST way forward. Our Kitchen is a haven and everyone is welcome to find comfort here.
Yia Thank heavens that the tree didn't fall upon a person. The recent storms have been very destructive.
RosesandLilac You have such a pretty name.
Mr Soop had his scalp scraped again yesterday afternoon. The nurse asked the GP to do the deed. He never complains. However, he did admit to wincing.
I am trying to do some serious tidying. Tomorrow all the decorations will be boxed for another year. After last Christmas, I sent a parcel containing all my late Nana's decorations to our eldest granddaughter. It was lovely to see them displayed in her own home.
We are awaiting a phone call giving Mr Soop a time and date for the scan that the GP hopes can be arranged asap. His foot and lower leg remain tender but the swelling isn't as bad as it was.
It is a quiet day. No wind or rain. I think that the majority of Kitcheners have had their fair share of wet, wet, wet.
My love to you all.

Good afternoon, Soop and lovely Kitchen people!🥰
Dear Soop, what a 'brave so'jer' your lovely man is, I hope things improve for him in the New Year. Thinking of all with illness or worries about the health of a loved one.💕🙏
We've just had a great new year visit from DS1, DDIL1 and DGD. Also, first time in Gran's house for their new wee pup, our Grandpup, such a cute wee girl. Good to see them all, DGS1 was visiting friends, we'll see him soon.
Soop, my DIL1 left with one of my Christmas table runners, I have several so I have decided to pass some on.
My Slimming class, ( aka Fat Club) resumes tonight... I wonder if I have the brass neck to attend, after all the wining and dining of the festive season? We spent the afternoon around my table demolishing the cheese board and the last of the shortbread and panettone! Oh, well, better start again....
Jaxjacky, well done on maintaining last year's weight, excellent!
Wishing everyone the best possible Thursday evening, TOYA.
