The “Doberman” has been removed so hurrah 😄 to that and the “Bullingdon Boy” is reinstalled. I don’t suppose it could be much worse really that it has been🤨 …could it?

What I do think is that the more right wing media support Braverman, and will almost certainly do their utmost to dig out dirt on Cameron and undermine Sunak.

Will probably help Sunak lose the GE with less damage than if Braverman were still in post. Good riddance to her.

Don’t think it really matters anymore who gets what job in the Tory party. Labour will win the next election.
I’ll be focusing on what they’re planning.

He wont have a seat because of the boundary review which is a bit different to stepping down I assumed they would parachute him in elsewhere.

The more I think about it, the more I question Sunak’s judgement over the Cameron appointment.

It just seems wrong from every angle. Just looking at his record on foreign policy tells us that he was a failure, let alone all the other areas. You can bet your life that the media is now chasing up his record of known and possibly unknown scandal.

That is another car crash waiting to happen.

Cameron held the referendum because so many Tories had defected to UKIP and he wanted to prove that it was a lost cause. He was wrong!
The way things are at the moment, I think it highly likely that the current party will split and the more right-wing members will form a new party.

The Economist has an article headed.

“The return of one of Britain’s worst Prime Ministers” saying that he was in effect the root cause of everything wrong the U.K. is facing today -of which there is much - and has now been brought back to fix it!!!

I have to say that I was surprised by this appointment.
I’m not very keen on Cameron and I’m certainly not keen on him being made a Lord in order to get him into the Cabinet. I think it’s quite underhand.

Sounds as though Cleverly isn’t happy about being moved from the Foreign Office.

It doesn't say much for the rest of the Tory MPs that none of them are fit for the FO.

Cameron was an incompetent twit whose Brexit mess has brought the UK to the brink. How anyone could ignore his arrogant incompetence is beyond me

So the government has to rush through a Baronetcy for Cameron in order to get him into the House of Lords because he is no longer an MP

Did anyone hear Cameron refer to himself as the future PM which he swiftly amended to previous PM? Freudian slip? Wishful thinking?? Cunning plan…..? I guess he can’t now unless he un Lords himself.

When last he commented by the way, David Milliband hinted he hadn’t ruled out a return.

If Cameron comes, can Blair be far behind?

I like the Mumsnet comment that having Cameron back is like turning yesterday's knickers inside out and putting them back on. Does the job but only if there's no alternative.

Did I say that? I think that’s the case with the current government though, having been through eight in the last 13 years they are now scraping the barrel.
I do think David Milliband was very good in the role, and I’d love to see him return to frontline politics, but he isn’t the only one who could do it at all from the Labour shadow cabinet. There are five with previous ministerial experience in fact, which is probably more than in the current government who were in ministerial roles in 2010. We could revisit this when the Tories have been out of office for 13 years and see how many of them are experienced if you like.

So basically you’re admitting that the shadow cabinet doesn’t have what it takes. Just how much experience of government do they have? And I think David Milliband has made his position very well known. I very much doubt he’s for hire.

And out of interest, there have been eight Tory Foreign Secreraies since Milliband, and the only one who has served longer than he did was William Hague.
